I'm having problem with the Lumberman not really doing much of anything other than spinning around in circles. After several days (real-life days, not in-game days) of the village not generating any wood at all, I decided to follow the Lumberman around the village as he makes his rounds.
Every time he starts running around in circles, I take him out (punch him until he dies) and then hurry back to his house to see where he will go next. After doing this over the course of two "in-game" days he finally turns in (through his wife) nearly 1000 pieces of wood. Finally, I say.
Yes, this is with Minecraft 1.6.6 and Millenaire v. 0.7.5b where I'm having this problem, and it has been a persistent bug. When the Lumberman finally decides to work, he can be incredibly efficient, but it is still a problem trying to get him off his behind. Are there any other people experiencing this problem?
Ok, I don't Know how to figure this out. Step by step.
1. I downloaded Millenaire 0.7.4 (I already have ModLoader)
2. I deleted "META_INF" or whatever it is.
3.I put the Millenaire folder from "Put in Minecraft Folder" Into my Minecraft folder when you open .minecraft.
4.I put the millenaire 0.7.4 zipped file into the "mods" folder (I asked my friend and he said I need to Unzip it. Do i?)
5. I open Minecraft and update it. I go to my world, press v, look for villages and nothing.
On the contrary Notch does NOT need to put this in the game
I love this mod it's great but I hope that it NEVER gets added to the original minecraft
Because that would force everyone (even those who don't want this)
to use it and that would be bad.

it will obviously be CHOCOLATE ORE
used to make cocoa beans and CHOCOLATE CAKE and CHOCOLATE INGOTS
CHOCOLATE INGOTS will be used to make CHOCOLATE TOOLS which are obviously much stronger than diamond and also may be eaten if you are hungry.
can i suggest this - add a bed to my room in the inn, and a door to my room, and maybe a crafting table.
another idea... find some way to add a quest giver that will construct a mansion or something for you. maybe sell a special wand that will spawn a servant for you. then give him the resources and he will upgrade your tiny hut of a house into a mansion? of course this land area wouldn't be inside the village, it would be treated as a separate village.
Theres this glitch wher my lumerjack just walks and jumps in circles in his house, its annoying supplying all the wood lol Also this town im at has no quary, do i have to supply all of the cobble then?
If i update to the newest mod version, will i lose my towns and stuff or will they remain? I know with some other mods i've lost stuff and i really wouldnt want that to happen :/
Thanks for the help, I found it out :biggrin.gif: but one thing, how do you trade? I read the thing where you go into the town hall etc. but when i walk into the town hall someone says "ill be right there with you, sir" i try right clicking or something but i have no idea how to do it.

A person will come up to you. A box above their head will say "trading with player". You right click on the person and it will open up the trade interface. Thats about it, same thing for some other buidings like cattle farms and bakeries
Heh :tongue.gif: using this mod and FiniteLiquid gives some funky results :tongue.gif: villages get generated under water XD
perhaps later you could add setting that forces villages to not get generated near/under/surrounded by a certain blok id (ie the new water in FiniteLiquid)
*Facepalms*
Why do people never read the FAQ and readme files? You can set custom block IDs to avoid for the villagers. I won't tell you how though, look it up by yourself.
Whoops. I accidentally hit a villager while leveling ground. She came after me along with another. I thought "No problem. I'll just run home and let them kill me. That way I can grab my items right away." I forgot about my dog. The dog didn't like the kill me part of the plan. Now I have two dead villagers and both my dog and I are near death. LOL Talk about a plan gone wrong.
I need some help, my builders has a project they have all the resources but on the project screen it says not enough space for the upgrade, so its not happening anything right now. how can i get them more space to build this upgrade ( or skip it)
can i suggest this - add a bed to my room in the inn, and a door to my room, and maybe a crafting table.
... doesn't it already have a crafting table? pretty sure it's two chests and a crafting table and i just threw my old bed in there. you can probs smack a door on it too, the merchant doesn't need to go there.
I made by mistake 2 villages to close. (I clic too fast on a diamond bloc )
How to erase a village? Have I to destroy it?
thanks to update this nice mod so regularly.
bye,
VincentMhd
destroy all of the houses including and especially the chests inside. this will completely destroy the village and you can walk away some and create a new one.
Say them that the gardener did kill them (if he isn´t one of them or say he suicided after the kill)
or change to peaceful for a few secs and feed your dog and everything will be alright, the gardener and the dead woman will respawn instantly (with and w/o Peaceful)
Thanks. It's good to know they will instantly respawn. I'm not worried about my health. I've been in worse situations. I just need to kill some pigs. It's also a nice reminder that I should start my crop farm. The main reason I posted this was because I thought some people would find my failure funny.
Well thank you for a very excellent mod. Sadly I'm going to have to remove it because my computer can't handle the load. I will miss it so much and you've done great work.
Theres like 4 different villages here, do they all work together or independent? Like do the guards patrol all of the area or just his town? I think independently, like 4 of the same buildings haha.

thats called a "Gros Bourg" i think the guards only patrol the one main one (t he one that's based on the fort) but they all share resources through the merchant at the inn.

Version 2.1 now updated for MC 1.6.2
1. I downloaded Millenaire 0.7.4 (I already have ModLoader)

What would "it" be?

you could sell wands with different floor plans.

That might in fact not work if he's changed the block IDs for the FiniteLiquid mod...

Oh, and great mod by the way. It even helped get a friend back into Minecraft!
