Can someone give me a quick tip on how to find villages fast.
Press v.
i pressed it a lot in my normal world and nothing apeared
i created a new world and nothing hapened
Then it's not installed properly, obviously.
Also, another issue.
I managed to somehow get enough materials for my massive building, but no matter how much space I make (using a map editor), it always states that there is "Not Enough Space". The space needed is 60x40, and I cleared a 70x70 space right next to the village, but it still claims there is not enough space.

Whats changed about the installation? The instructions and the picture is exactly the same.
I'm not sure if it was new in this version, but the installation no longer requires editing the minecraft.jar.
You didn't have to play with the minecraft.jar before unless you had to add a new modloader or delte the meta-inf which you haven't for a few updates. I still don't see the issue.
Figured it out and let me say,.... epic mod EPIC MOD!!! Who ever doesnt have this is missing out on a lot of fun. This is a great mod and i proudly present you with these...
I'm still having the same issue as posted before. Original issue was on ver 0.4.1 on a clean world, i've updated to the overnight 0.4.5 update and am still having the SAME issue. This bug makes the entire village pointless, as the buildings they build are never staffed and useless.
lol?
Why do kids respawn when they die?
Like, I had a pit next to a house, then some kid falls all the way down and his name is "Norbert Fredegar", and dies, and then I come back up and he's sitting in a house. Also, I pushed another kid down a pit and I saw him teleport up when he died.

To answer your question, because all of the villagers respawn if they die.
I am a huge fan of this mod! However, what ever script doesn't allow the villagers from building in water doesn't work with the Finite water mod, for the obvious reason that the script doesn't know what it is, but I would love to see this compatibility increased if it fits into your free time. But I love the mod anyway!
All villagers store there valuables they find in the bank, Which could cost like maybe 1 certain item per 2 days? or something like that. The player also could store with the same price. If you or the villages does not pay it gets places in the bank vault.
"Genual store" "Store tendant"
You can sell and buy almost anything here. including the stuff u find usless, Prices for useless stuff will be really low however.
Recently, I've been getting an 'update error' or something. Minecraft hasn't updated, but the same message keeps popping up CONSTANTLY!!! Can somebody please help me? :/
Nice set of suggestions :smile.gif: To answer quickly:
- good idea on the radius setting, easy to make at first glance and useful
- the wall would be awesome, but not that simple to implement. Consider all the obstacles that can potentially be in its path...
- I've tried "leveling" algorithms like what you propose before, but it's not that simple. It has to deal with water bodies, trees, pits, etc. I'll probably have an other go at it at some point.
I agree these are not simple to implement, but I also think there is probably a reasonably good-enough solution to be found.
While thinking about how to get the AI to do the leveling, I came upon another idea:
It would be neat if we could buy something like a Mayor's wand from the town hall to become a village's Mayor. Once you are the Mayor, you are in charge of deciding what buildings get built and where they are placed.
When you right-click the ground with the Mayor wand you get a dialog that lets you pick which building plan will be built. This makes a "coming soon" sign for the building appear and trigger the villagers where to start building it. After the initial version of a building is built, you should be able to right-click some part of the building again later to begin upgrades.
This would also provide a convenient solution to the leveling issue! We could have a building plan called "level lot" which directs a builder to level a 16x16 plot of land. It wont count as a building afterward, so it is safe to build another building on that spot.
You could also queue up a series of building signs to be built and let them build them one at a time. There should be a way to turn control back over to the town AI so you can walk away for a while. It would also be nice if the Mayor had the power to delete buildings if he wished to make room for something else.
Hey everyone, I'm having this small problem. I got a dead village, so I deleted the chunks of my world that included the village in MCedit, exported a schematic from and old world (few days old, not too old, was version 0.4.5 or 0.4.4b) and imported it back into my world. Everything works great of course, except for one thing...all the signs appear shaded over. Here's a few pics detailing the error: NPC House http://img834.imageshack.us/i/shadesignerror.png/
Note that the signs in the Town Hall behind the Shopkeeper are lit up, so I think that once the signs are edited or change in some manner in game, they relight, because they were dim when I loaded the world. Any ideas?
Then you've done something wrong, or another mod is conflicting with it.

just because it took mecountless times to make it work and it didn't

"Bank" And "Banker".

I have 4 bookcases ready, but I can't sell them.
Will they build the priest's home if I give them the supplies for it regardless of current project?

Try placing and then destroying a block next to the sign. That should force the game to recalculate the light in that area.
Thanks for the quick reply :smile.gif: Worked like a charm. Here ya go,
