Actually, I used a wand of negation on one of those villages with only one person. he came back after a while.
I had to murder everyone in the village, use the wand of negation, and burn the village to the ground. I still had one lone tree farmer that kept appearing and planting saplings on the building of another village I spawned there. I finally gave up trying to kill him.
I just finished retexturing Millenaire in the vonDoomCraft resource pack style!
Very intriguing stuff, although I admit that as a Millenaire player I prefer to see more realism - the "Byzantine" armour doesn't look very Byzantine to me...
I find your work somewhat reminiscent of the artwork for the Joe Dever Grey Star series. Were you inspired by the artwork therein?
Hi! How can I block Millenaire villages from spawning in certain biomes from Biomes o Plenty? Currently, if I have BOP installed, villages will spawn in the designated vanilla biomes along with any BOP biomes I have enabled. How can I block, say, the Ominous Woods biome from having Millenaire villages? Just for my immersion's sake and to keep rarity up.
Thanks. Millenaire is one of my favorite mods... like, ever.
Edit: I tried finding something in the config files... could only find biome-specifications in the 'lone buildings' and 'villages' ones. I tried editing them, deleting biomes from BOP that I didn't want spawning villages, and it didn't work. So... any other ideas?
It's no biggie. I can just disable the biomes I don't want villages to spawn in altogether. It would mean I can't see them in my world at all, but I'd rather have that than villages spawning in them.
On that note, villages shouldn't spawn in BOP biomes that I have disabled in the BOP config itself correct? That might be an unanswerable question, sorry.
You were on the right track, if you change the config and remove the biomes for all villages and lone buildings then they won't spawn in those.
Millenaire villages cannot spawn in BoP biomes that you disable, because those biomes won't exist in your world?

vonDoomCraft wasn't originally created by me. That credit goes to Emperor Doom on the forums here. So I don't really know what inspired him to make the art like this. I enjoyed his art style as well which is why I started using the resource pack and then expanding it to mods.
As such I'm using assets mostly created by Emperor Doom and manipulating and modifying them. If you have a good reference for what Byzantine armor should look like, post it and I'll see what I can do.
I think this mod has a thing where you need to refresh your minecraft world in order to spawn a village in, otherwise it won't work. (if you don't, you will have to wait a few hours for it to popup, just like spawning any other large structure in a different mod)
Hello; I have a few questions. 1) im trying to import a building and im doing it all right according to the guide on Millenaire.org but when i click on the sign with the village wand nothing happens at all not even text and if i try the wand of negotiation it thinks im trying to export. help? 2) can someone create an easy to read guide for importing and exporting that is up to date? 3) is the importing action functioning? 4) also if possible could someone make a guide of how to change the config, trade goods, and the buildings the various villages begin with?
btw ive been using this mod for a good while off and on thoe and my gameplay basically revolves around it. so i know some of these things are possible as i have experimented in the past although that was a good while ago so i have forgotten how i did it

Hmmm... importing is a bit complicated to explain, so instead I can show you.
I have a bug, or at least I think so. In the Norman Alchemist quest line, during Anomaly I have already found it and destroyed the spawners in the first room. However, whenever I enter the second room and open the chest I get no activation to the next part of the quest. I have tried opening it in all possible directions and tried logging on and off. Am I just doing something wrong?

I wish I had found this mod sooner, it is so much fun!
One remark:
Nobody wants Acacia wood! I haven't been near any dark oak yet to see if that's the same but it's not listed so I guess it's safe to assume nobody wants it either. Will this be added in 5.3?
i really really really really really really*gets tired... like this one, the only thing is that villagers take to much to build the initial stage of the walls, but i guess those are standard mechanics

There is actually a lot of material online regarding what Byzantine armour looked like, such as this fine colour plate from the Osprey series:

Thank you for all your hard work. It is awesome!
I'm sure it will be added soon for the generic wood, be sure to post about it in the Bug Reports page though to be ABSOLUTELY sure of it.
I installed the mod correctly, but when I open up minecraft and load a world, millenaire isn't installed properly, (...)
Installed on what Minecraft version with what Forge version? Any other mods installed?
Minecraft 1.7.2, with Forge 10.12.2.1147 and Millénaire should work fine. Make sure you have no other mods installed. If it works okay by itself, add the other mods one by one and see which one breaks Millénaire.
-The villagers don't reconstruct destroyed buildings. I'm not sure why, but some of the buildings just seem to be falling apart for lack of a better description. The buildings will be whole one day and half gone the next. I also have the Mo Creatures mod which allows mini golems, who pick up blocks, and ogres, who destroy blocks. I've encountered both of these creatures (and for the life of me can't get them to stop spawning), and they just make a mess of the town. It would be nice if the builders had some sort of "smart sense" to be able to look at a building and go, "That's not right. Let me fix that."
-Villagers seem to have trouble with doors. They will just stand there opening and closing the door all while trying to get in through the wall. They eventually make it through, but it takes several attempts.
Using Mo'Creatures with Millenaire can be frustrating. I have the same issue with the golem (one that absorbs blocks), he will literally pull the buildings apart. The only way to stop this is to turn the game on Peaceful. I've tried using defense mods (ie: Golem World, Utility Turrets, and Guards) and they help, but the only way to be sure is to turn off angry mobs.
The only way I've found around the door issue is to give them a gentle push, or try to open the door for them.

A question though, What about the console spam many of get with regard to villager entity update issues. Still don't know what causes it and can't play millenaire as is. Only way to use it if you want the creative tab open or NEI installed. Trying to spawn in villages is useless.

Please don't triple post, just double posting is not allowed if I remember right.

This is a series about me modding Millenaire I recently started, I import buildings in it so just pause and rewind to watch exactly what I do.

If it is then it will be fixed, if not then try this:
http://millenaire.or...illenaire_Broke
If that doesn't fix it then go back to the Bug Reports page and add your issue to the list.
