only problems i have had so far are missing villagers (usualy the byzantine leader and the builder)
but if i exit+save and then single player again, they are back...might be that i am also playing with Mo'Creatures too XD but its not that annoying
(listing this here incase anyone else has similar missing villagers and the 1.4.7 mo'creatures too)
same problem but i don't have mo creatures installed i think its millenaire itself
Whats with the config? there's ID's that arent even Generated. iv'e changed all ids and even if it has like 200 Lines to generate more blocks its still erroring with buildcraft. changed the id for 1515 to 3860 and its clear to make more blocks after that but it says ID 1515 is conflicting still.. makes no sense.
nahhh takes about 30 min to do it manually using the aid of an NEI block list dump for a lil over 100 mods. plus thn you dont run into the id mismatch stuff created by ID"R".To me ID"R" is a cut rate patch that will cause more problems than it solves XP

when I removed GUIAPI 1.4.6...and idresolver I did nto get this crash screen. HOWEVER this was also after taking out all of my mods from from my mod folder. I ran them all 1 by one though with millenaire and did not seem to have any conflicts when trading.
IF millenaire is crashing when ou mouse over items in the trade GUI (which is happening to me...see above post) could you just dissalow ID.r from touching millenaire ID with initial install?
Believe i found a bug. Apparently entity's can pass thru Iron Bars as if there nothing... Ran into a Thaumcraft 3 room for safety and they walked through the iron bars and kicked my ass. 4 to 1 very unfair lol.
I didn't test if its only hostile mobs but id imagine it would be most.
EDIT: My theory is they dont know how to deal with being in confined passages (4x1x2) (LxWxH) so it just smushes em through the iron bars. seems very true since i used several other blocks and they still walk through the wall...
heres a pic... tested several blocks to block pasage and the npcs still would shoot through the wall
Odd, I don't think they should do that, did you post about it on the Bug Reports page?
I think this should be "normal" not only with bars but anything else too. I am pretty sure the pathing engine teleports the entity when the entity for whatever reason can't go to a certain spot, or at least this is how it should be if the hostile entities are like the friendly ones.
Not when chasing the player.
Also he said they ran through the bars, not that they teleported.
Yes the underground could explain some cases, but not all of them for me. Except if its possible for a builder to build one small structure for 3 days when for bigger ones they take less. I would accept it if for whatever reason, when they build at a spot where they can't reach, they become really really slower.
It is possible.
But keep in mind, they don't work nonstop.

Millenaire has problems with Mo'Creatures, the creatures murder all the people.
So "relations between villages" has been added, and I have to ask:
Do all villages that exist in your world have relations with each other, or is there some kind of maximum distance between them before one village just doesn't acknowledge another village's existence?
Its not a bug so much as it is an oversight. It seems as though Millenaire looks specifically for an ID that is in the config.txt every time the trade menu is opened or an npc tries to give you something, such as giving you a sword to deliver to someone else instead of loading the ID's once when minecraft is started up, which IDResolver can then change.
If anyone is wondering why I use IDResolver and face this mess with Millenaire, finding workarounds and what-not, is because it is much easier to fix conflicts using IDResolver (which takes about 1 minute for about 30 mods) rather than doing it manually which would take over an hour for a similar amount.
And no, I did not report this as a bug because again, it is not so much a bug as it is a programming oversight imo.
No it has to be a bug, there is a config.txt file that exists just for that reason. So you can change the IDs.

People are having problems with the config file but no one wants to ever report it.

Sounds like it installed wrong, try deleting it all and reinstalling.

You could try doing what I did, Install the base mods, IDR and millenaire and that should make Millenaire have first priorities on the ID's. Just make sure you delete the millenaire folders and archive beforehand.

I don't think you understand what I was saying. I don't feel it is a bug for my previously-stated reasons, but it could well be.
You are talking about changing the IDs in the config file not changing the IDs in the game itself, right?
One by one add mods to the install, each time go into your inventory screen, go into the NEI menu and dump the block IDs. when a conflict arises open the latest dump, locate free IDs, and reassign. It is a bit tedious and boring, but once that is done you can just copy over the configs to a new install or an upgraded MC, virtually zero chance that youll mess up your map, and you dont have to ever wait on IDR to update or deal with ingame ID conflicts with the config file ID settings.
A bit more work but it can save irritation in the long run

Ok, now is there a button to dump the block IDs or what? How do I dump them? (Asking before I install NEI to try it out, it seems like a very sound method.)
...In short, whatever it is IDR does natively, But I'm more interested in what rrusciguy is talking about.

there will be an "options" button in the bottom left corner of the inventory screen. If i recall correctly after clicking that there will be a menu with a button that says "ID settings" or something similar. After clicking that there will be a menu with a bunch of different options concerning IDs, one of the buttons will be "Dump ID map". click that and it will dump the current IDs to a text file in the main minecraft directory. Id give a much more detailed report, but im on my laptop atm, not my desktop. Dont have minecraft installed (integrated graphics card, lags too hard)

Is it just me or does the wand of negation not work right? When i right click to destroy this bandit fort, it asks me if i want to, but doesnt give me any way to say yes :/.

That problem has always existed with Millenaire for a long, long time ... I am still using Millenaire 3.2.8, and I still have this issue. It's not a large issue so no need to worry.

we started to play tekkit lite with millenaire with millenaire 3.3.* rapidly upgraded to 3.4.0
In this version problems started. The Server throws null pointer exception for entitys not existing. (The error gave me coords for the missing png, i looked at the map in mcedit. All millenaire npc are on the map except the errornous... there is no entity on this map at the coords mentioned in the error). And the coords are inside a wall.
after an unsuccessful try of fixing i restored an backup before the error happened. And updated to tekkit lite 0.52 and millenaire 4.0.0.
After several days without errors it started again... constantly getting worse (more entitys with errors).
Secondly i have an error in 1 or 2 chunks in my village, when i enter my client crashes and i could not reconnect (screen ticking). I fix this by stopping the server and replacing (moving) my player with mcedit.
Culture of village where problems started is hindi my village is norman...
My Problem: Error count starts to rise, and Server has much higher load on same map as without errors.
error example:

I have no idea why the culture of your village changed but there's little to do about it now :\ You should kill it, either by removing its files inside your world directory, or by killing all the villagers and using a negation wand.
So "relations between villages" has been added, and I have to ask:
Do all villages that exist in your world have relations with each other, or is there some kind of maximum distance between them before one village just doesn't acknowledge another village's existence?
There is. 2 kilometres from memory.

Can you please either make the installer recognize Forge if it's already installed with other mods or make this mod a .jar so Forge can use it directly? Not going to uninstall everything I have just for one mod.

Life is a Learning Curve.... Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
If Forge is already installed all you need to do is put millenaire and millenaire.zip inside the mods folder. No need to uninstall anything else.

Not when chasing the player.
Also he said they ran through the bars, not that they teleported.
It is possible.
But keep in mind, they don't work nonstop.
Millenaire has problems with Mo'Creatures, the creatures murder all the people.
I believe so, yeah.
The installer is for installing Millenaire from scratch, just install the rest manually.
No it has to be a bug, there is a config.txt file that exists just for that reason. So you can change the IDs.
Stop letting your villagers die.

A bit more work but it can save irritation in the long run

...In short, whatever it is IDR does natively, But I'm more interested in what rrusciguy is talking about.
Ok, now is there a button to dump the block IDs or what? How do I dump them? (Asking before I install NEI to try it out, it seems like a very sound method.)
there will be an "options" button in the bottom left corner of the inventory screen.

Yes, ID Resolver works and I have 142 Mods installed with it.
You mean I have to install this BEFORE any of the mods?...
How can I install this AFTER?

Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
Thanks. I'll try it tomorrow
That problem has always existed with Millenaire for a long, long time ... I am still using Millenaire 3.2.8, and I still have this issue. It's not a large issue so no need to worry.

I have no idea why the culture of your village changed but there's little to do about it now :\ You should kill it, either by removing its files inside your world directory, or by killing all the villagers and using a negation wand.
There is. 2 kilometres from memory.
