Thanks, but I tried deleting and reinstalling millenaire but still got the same error, did you mean clean install as deleting all mods and reinstalling them or what I tried?
No all I did for her was to delete the 2 millenaire folders and the mod in the mods folder and replace them. She was unable to buy from the main person in the village I raised fully.
I am having an odd issue with the config files. Running a Tekkit Lite 1.4.7 server with latest forge, Mo'Creatures, millenaire 4.0.zip in mods folder (with 2 folders in there too). Millenaire runs, people build and trade, all is fine aside from the concurrent crashes.
As server admin, I want to manage the placement of the cities and stop them from spawning randomly when people are walking around. However, I can't stop new villages from spawning no matter what I do. I set the min_village_distance=10000, I set the generate_villages=false in the mods/millenaire/config.txt and also in the mods/millenaire-custom/config-custom.txt on the server. I read that the clients had to have the same configs, so I have all my users using the same configs on their clients as well.
If I get outside of @ 500 blocks (default min distance) a village will spawn. It almost seems like the server side config.txt isn't even being loaded because I set the "language=en", and it still does French per the millenaire-server.log. (MAJOR: null: Loading language: fr)
Ideas? Do I have to change the server.properties as well?
Tekkit is the Bukkit version of Technic.
Millenaire is not a Bukkit compatible mod.
Well, a couple things. Any Pueblo people freestanding villages would really wind up using similar building blocks to the Hindu (mud brick) . . . and crops similar to Mayans. So what would you gain by adding them other than "yet another culture"?
I guess my tone didn't really come out there. I'm not particularly in favor of a pueblo culture, mostly because I don't think it would work well without significant modification to the millenaire engine (to make the villiages spawn into hills). It would be cool, but I'd rather see the concurrentModificationError bug fixed. I do disagree about them being too similar to the Hindus and Mayans, though. They had a distinctive art style of their own, and their architecture was different.
Plains tribes wouldn't have big settlements, which is what the other cultures so far have really done. They built camps on a temporary basis and were always somewhat on the move. Houses would be small, which . . . Minecraft automation doesn't really handle well. Though I could note they would probably be an interesting design for what goods they'd want to trade.
I could see them set up as more of a camp than a villiage, with the only semi-permanant structure the lodge. The "houses" would be tents, teepees, etc. with fairly large "yards" where the villiagers would work outside. I doubt the engine would have too much trouble with it.
The advantage I see of using plains Indians over the Iriquois civilization is that it would add more flavor. The other civilizations are based on towns, where this would be strictly small camps. Of course, I don't really know much about the eastern tribes - by the time they made it out my way (Oklahoma), they had adopted a lot of white culture, to the point of building plantation-style farms and owning slaves.

You changed the item IDs, right?
Yeah that is the modpack found in the Feed the Beast set of modpacks.
Peublos have been discussed before, AGES ago, but you couldn't have them spawn inside already made mountains, you would have to spawn in new mountains in a big empty field.
You COULD use red stone for it though.
By new mountains I mean the building that gets spawned is just a mountain.
Is anyone else experiencing the problem that sometimes the Norman builder (no idea if it happens in other cultures, I only found one Norman village yet) won't build beyond preparing the ground even when all resources are available? It's annoying because the entire development of the village has stopped because of that.
Edit: Next problem spotted: When I used the wand of negation on a bandit's tower, I got the "Do you want to destroy tour des bandits" message, but without the yes and no buttons.
Yes to both. I have though come ot believe that th builder bugs if you sleep at night. I am not 100% sure but all 3 times that happened it was when i slept at night. As if he was trying to go home sleep the moment i slept and because the time switched fast to day his schedule got messed up. At any rate, eventually he will go work.
And with the negation wand, personally I tried it after I killed the bandits, so I thought it was normal to be unable to use it.
I don't believe this mod ever created a config file; there's a "millenaire" and "millenaire-custom" folder you have to manually copy to the mods/ folder.
My error (which you can find on the previous page) when I open the trade window is specific to this dude called a kidemonas when i mouse over an un-displayed "we buy:" item, not the bread that he also buys. His culture is not displayed when i press v, but he lives in a wooden tower. Also, when I was flying towards a different town, I got this:

Since it seems to be a problem with guis, I'm going to reinstall all my gui mods and see what is the problem.
Found out what was the problem. When IDResolver changes the block IDs of Millenaire, Millenaire can't handle it when the GUIs try to display blocks and items that have hardcoded IDs. When they are moused-over, minecraft crashes.
Okay, testing out destroying the village and replacing it.
I killed all the villagers of the Mahal. I right clicked with the wand of negation. I get a notice asking me if I want to destroy it, but no options.
How on earth do I destroy it and then use the other wand to rebuild it?
I'm not sure you should. In my current world, a broken Mayan village was generated by a previous version of Millenaire. To fix it, I killed all of the male villagers, used the wand to destroy the village, and spawned a new one. Unfortunately, the new version is missing about half of the villagers, as mentioned in my previous posts. If this wasn't a shared LAN server, I'd nuke and start from scratch.
The villagers listed as MISSING on the signs vanish for a few days in-game, then reappear (some of them.) The shamans are simply gone, and the king and queen are gone most of the time, making it very hard to develop the village. So I ask again: is there any way to respawn all villagers? Surely, there must be a debug command for testing.
I believe ctrl+p or ctrl+t will reset the villagers' paths.
P toggles pathing modes. I asked if there was a way to respawn the village population. T does nothing.
Wait what? By Temple you mean the murder slab, right? If so then that is an old bug that got fixed and am not sure how the building file got changed back...
No. That structure is called a sacrificial altar, and it's also hollow and dark inside. The temple is where the Mayans go to pray every morning. It's hollow underneath, causing monsters to spawn, and occasionally trapping villagers under the floor.
Well, I prefer to nuke the whole world. I deleted the game folder. I looked in other folders in my mods folder that referenced the world folder. I problem was after doing all that when i reuse the folder name, I get that stupid village I don't want. However I tried moving the 3 millenaire folders out of the game and reused the name on a new game and then I deleted that folder. I put the millenaire folders back. Started a new game... guess what village returned?
Drives me crazy. that is why I tried to destroy it. But I don't know how.
This is a great mod, with just one problem. Before anyone yells at me for not looking at the "Known Bugs" page in the wiki, let me say that I did. The bug I'm about to describe was the first one on the list. You guessed, it; textures of building blocks are white. I've had this issue in the past, but fixed it without updating. Does anyone know if there are any existing fixes for this bug? Re-installing the mod? Re-installing Forge? Optifine?
I'll be experimenting as I await a response, so I'll let people know if I come up with anything on my own.
Thanks!
EDIT: Lol that was fast. I updated Optifine to Ultra B4 and it the bug went away. HERE'S THE MORAL OF THE STORY: If you are having the white block texture issue, update Optifine. Moral number 2 is try and figure it out before you post on the thread.
No all I did for her was to delete the 2 millenaire folders and the mod in the mods folder and replace them. She was unable to buy from the main person in the village I raised fully.
That was for her just crashing when she would walk around town. She would crash for just walking through and I had to update her java.
Millenaire is not a Bukkit compatible mod.
player.me/felinoel
Everything works, and the villages are all running fine. So, why would it ignore the config.txt file?
I guess my tone didn't really come out there. I'm not particularly in favor of a pueblo culture, mostly because I don't think it would work well without significant modification to the millenaire engine (to make the villiages spawn into hills). It would be cool, but I'd rather see the concurrentModificationError bug fixed. I do disagree about them being too similar to the Hindus and Mayans, though.
I didn't get to see the villagers. I just see a part of a building and then to game stop. The mod is this one. http://www.brohoof.com/forums/topic/15564-the-bronymodpack-v26-helpless-hoity-toity-for-minecraft-147/ . the mod worked when I had Love and Tolerance texture on. idk if this would help, but here is what I got on the error message.

I've heard people say that the config file doesn't work before, try posting about it on the Bug Reports page, it may be a bug.
You changed the item IDs, right?
Yeah that is the modpack found in the Feed the Beast set of modpacks.
By new mountains I mean the building that gets spawned is just a mountain.

how do I do that? I only know how to fallow instructions about installing mods only... could you help me, please

Since it seems to be a problem with guis, I'm going to reinstall all my gui mods and see what is the problem.
P toggles pathing modes. I asked if there was a way to respawn the village population. T does nothing.
No. That structure is called a sacrificial altar, and it's also hollow and dark inside. The temple is where the Mayans go to pray every morning. It's hollow underneath, causing monsters to spawn, and occasionally trapping villagers under the floor.
You're welcome.
For anybody who wants to use them (and I really recommend it), here is an inofficial 'patch' for Millénaire:
http://millenaire.org/library/view.php?cid=113
Millénaire with the realistic biomes of biomes o'plenty is an awesome experience, be sure not to miss it!
Instruction: Just merge the folders with the millenaire/cultures folder.
Note: The Byzantines are already supporting both of these mods.
