Btw, A warm and Happy birthday to the one-year anniversary of Millenaire! I checked the thread creation date, and this was created on May 27th 2011, exactly one year ago! Hope this game keeps updating for the years to come!
I'm working on something else that will adds Native Americans into the game. It might not be a full culture".
Felinoel's Inuits will be a full culture like the other cultures in the game.
I know people in America want a nation culture for themselves.
What? But the Inuits were Americans, just really really north Americans.
What do you mean? I'm a little confused.
Since the Japanese Yumi Bow is part of my work.
Oh hey that reminds me, I gave your yumi bow a try and it seems quite a bit OP... <.<;
I hope it is extremely difficult to obtain legitimately.
Hello Guys, I'm having a few bugs with the ferme in the Seigneurie. The building updates are misplaced. In the first pic you can see the initital build (with the roof) and update 1 + 2 (the roofless part with glass). The initial build has a door and a sign which doesn't show any words at all. As soon as I start the first upgrade, the adjacent roofless part gets builded. It has a 2 block high hole instead of a door and the door in the initial construct gets destroyed. (In the pic below you can see a hole near the crosshair, this is where the door was) As seen in the second pic, there is a wall in the middle of the house (you can see the roof if you look over it). There also was a dirt wall in between which I already destroyed. Also a sign gets placed next to the hole, which does show text. If you look carefully through the hole, you can see the fence of the cropland inside the house, as the updates eats away some cropland. If a fermier gets appointed the farm functions normally, but it looks ugly and I don't like it. Is this something I can fix, or do I have to wait for Kinniken to get onto this?
If it works fine then just replace the block I guess.
It just a few people who want European settlers or the American 13 colonies. That we can't add to the mod because its very far after the 11th century.
Ummm, the United States of America are a small part of America, I would say maybe just a fifth of America. If you mean the United States of America say that so people don't get confused.
Mexicans and Canadians are legal American citizens but not citizens of the United States of America.
It was March and not May, yeah.
Either way that means 14 months of this great mod!
Prior to this mod I had been using [OgreSean's?] Builder's Mod to keep my Minecraft worlds from being lonely, and although they DID build their own small towns on occasion that you can trade with, Kinniken's work just blew that out of the water! Nowadays I just can't imagine playing Minecraft without Millénaire installed!

My point is those nations weren't even alive during the 11th century. Most people came from Europe and made those nations become a nation.

I wouldn't say that to any native Americans.LOL The only problem with making a tribe that lived in the United States is they were hunter gatherers and the materials used to construct their abodes are hard to replicate with blocks. The Blackfoot in Montana were here long before any settlers and they are still a nation both here and in Canada where they are called Blackfeet. Don't forget the Pueblo indians which would be the easiest to make in Millenaire are in Arizona.
P.S.Check the internet and you might be amazed at how many American Indians there were in the United States before the Europeans invaded.

Pueblo Indians would be awesome. However, they would be very similar to the Mayans, with crops and such. Still like the idea though.

Pueblo Indians have been discussed before and they would have to work like the walled Norman village in the Millenaire Library, weren't they the ones who made holes up high in mountains to live in?

There were two types . Those that built stone and adobe apartmentlike structures and those who built into cliff faces. I started a village based on the Oraibi village in Arizona but it's only part way done. There are some good examples in New Mexico too. I would have preferred building a Blackfoot culture but I can't figure a good way to build their structures in that time period. I could get names and translations easily for them. I think most northern tribes built teepee type structures than.

Yeah the cliff faces one was the one I was talking about and is the one that was mentioned before.
You should add an innately hostile group that you can gain respect by attacking others villages.

I have a huge problem with millenaire. Whenever i try to trade in the village all i get is the "how can you think of trading when our village is devatated" dialog. I have experienced the same thing with the yogbox pack version and the most updated version of millenaire (with only millenaire installed to prevent mod conflicts). I have also generated 6-7 different worlds and all of them i get the same problem. This happens in the first village that appears (and all others after that). Can somebody help me out here?

I've been starting and destroying attempts since the Pueblo's were first discussed. I have a really authentic looking apartment style one going now. I'd like to build a small stone mountain and than work on making it a cliff village too.

We already have an innately hostile group. Minecraft is loaded with monsters. It would be cool to have a skeleton and spider attack. It cracks me up when I see skeletons riding around on a spider.
Idownloaded the latest update and installed it correctly but when i go on a world it goes black (deleted meta0inf) and crashes
What was the version of your Millenaire originally? What version was it before you updated and what version did you update it to?
Copy over your current save file, unless you copied your save file before updating and getting this issue. Delete the .minecraft folder, run Minecraft.exe and reinstall Millenaire then copy back over your save file.

Well the yogbox is horribly outdated I hear, but it sounds like that village was around already and raided by another village.

The cliff face version will definitely have to be like the walled Norman village in the Millenaire Library.

But it is the first village i encounter that this happens ! When the hell did it got raided, i only just created the world ! well anyway, what can i do to "repair" this devastation and revert the village back to its functional setting so i can trade ?
Has it really only been one year? ...wow
Well change all the weight of each village of each culture you want to zero.
Back up your save first of course.

Go to minecraft\millenaire\cultures\*culture*\villages\, then open file with village you need.
If it works fine then just replace the block I guess.

Try the manual installer.
