I've got a suggestion that I thought of when I saw an un-occupied house. It would be cool if you could save up some of your denier and such, to buy one of their houses. If you wanted to go even further, you could have let's say 4 different boxes for sale, each for a higher and higher price. Each box would contain a blueprint basically. You put the box down somewhere you want the house (somewhere considerably close the village limits) and then they'll start working on it. Would give something else to spend denier on :biggrin.gif:

EDIT: THIS WAS CAUSED BY MY CUSTOM FARM. I had two signs in my farm blueprints by accident.
Yes, that would indeed cause such a crash. I'll have to remember to validate the number of signs when loading buildings.

I ended up stripping out all the repeating stuff before putting it on the pastebin, it's still there for when kinniken takes a look at it.
Strange error... Is this a clean 0.2.2 world? Any visible problem in the village? This crash would occur if a villager did not "know" the position of the TH, but I don't really see how this would happen.

No, custom farms won't grow. Only farms that are inhabited by a farmer will, and that can only be the basic "farm_" design. However if you modify that design and put more or less 's' soils squares, the farmer will work on those. You'll want to generate a new village though if you change core designs though or the upgrades will be a mess.

maybe in a future update the jumping can be turned of when attacking and they lose their hostility when you go far enough away?
No to the first, as stuck villagers mean lag spikes. The second is already in place, put fifty metres between yourself and an NPC and he'll forget about you.

Thanks for looking at this, I know NullReferences are bad from my own programming experience (I just don't touch java myself). Anyway, 0.2.2 was my first version of this mod installed.
I'll try to pin it down, but without more context this will be tough :\ And NullPointerExceptions are a very very common error, by itself it doesn't mean anything, it's the line it happens on that matters.

How to put him 50m behind when he runs as fast as me and jumps to my location when stuck?
Good question :tongue.gif: He doesn't run as fast as you though, in a plain you can distance him. But I agree it can be tough. I suggest just switching to Peaceful for a second or two.

I really like the villagers talking it brings some life to the village. Just found out how to add my own sentences :biggrin.gif:

If you didn't see how it worked, the ones starting with "villager." will be said by villagers of any types, except if there are sentences specifically for their type (like those starting with "wife." or "priest.") for the same tag. If there are more than one sentence with the same complete tag, the game will pick one at random every time.
For every goal/activity, the one with ".chosen" at the time will only be said when the NPC choses the activity and start walking toward it, the one in the form "lumberman.PlantSaplings" can be said at any point while they are doing whatever the activity is.

They work if you uncomment them. I can't remember why I commented out the DeliverResource one, the other is because the woman will already say that she is coming when she becomes a seller (via a different mechanism that ignore distance to the player).
