Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If you're callin' about the Mobtalker scripts, I no longer have access to them.
However, it's been getting tempting lately to put together a modpack that includes CustomNPCs, so I could definitely work in something along the same themes in the modpack's quests. Feel free to give suggestions of mods that promote an experience which minimizes mining grind in favor of exploration. I'll likely have to include Grimorie of Gaia to provide good models (No I'm not gonna directly change the default mob models)
sorry to ask, but when a village is on 'inactive', how do you change it back?
PM-me your saved game please. Is there anything in your logs?

For some reason, I can't use millenaire.org, i have tried different networks, computers, browsers, etc but it just wont work. anyone upload the 1.8.1 to meadiafire, rapid for me?
Okay, installed the latest Imaginations update, the Amazon Tree, Holding Grounds and Elven Fishers are not spawning with the Village Wand yet they do have the files for them in the folders for Imaginations. I am also getting an error in the log as follows:
Something appears to have happened to the Imagination pack download 0.6, not sure if it is because of the download site or bad connection during the upload. The few 0.6s that were download will need to downloaded the 0.7 when it's updated, appologies. I'm putting 0.7 through extra testing to make sure it's clean. I will also add a little more content for the trouble.
Breaking News: Ucan Hanapu thrown out of Chicken Farm!
Fears are held for the safety and whereabouts of Ucan Hanapu, prospective future wife of a chicken farmer. Rumours allege that the villagers rioted against Ucan's inability to find a husband and may have harmed Ucan. While she is still listed in the village roll, no one has seen her and she cannot be located.
One villager said "This is not right, she invited 3 young boys into that chicken farm and none of them became her husband. Only the gods know what was going on in there. We are not going to put up with things like that!"
In other news, Cantun Hanapu, one of the 3 triplet sisters (all named Cantun) has moved into the chicken farm and is trying to lure a husband.
The chicken farm remains full of sheep.

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone will be able to help me with my problem.
I am currently playing my 1.7.3 Millenaire world, in which I am using Millenaire version 1.4.4b.
The issue that I am currently having is with the final upgrade to the Fort in my Millenaire village. The sign in the Fort says that they are currently lacking the resources for making Tapestry. It is stuck on 0/5.
I cannot sell any other wool other than white wool. I have seen the suggestion on the Millenaire Wiki regarding changing the buying prices on the village culture file (although it also suggests that this should no longer be needed post-1.4.3). Anyway, I went to the file and found the following under buying prices:
So the settings already appear to be there.
Can anyone help me as I cannot move forward without fixing this. :sad.gif:
I'd very much appreciate any light that you guys can shine upon this problem. Thanks. :smile.gif:
Ah yes, I remember this bug. I think that was fixed at a later version though and can only be fixed by upgrading to 1.8.1 and Millenaire's 1.6.8
Hey there all. I have had a bunch of ideas for a fantasy pack add on for Millenaire. This pack is planned to only be for the new lone buildings, therefor they will each be a sort of single themed spawn.
I have a lot of plans for this pack however I am fairly busy with two other much larger Millenaire projects, primarily the Mayans, which takes up most of my time. So updates with new content will be here and there.
This is my Imaginations 0.7 pack. There are currently fourteen extra lone buildings thirteen new npc types and five different random npcs in it. The lone buildings currently have a spawn block for testing but they will also randomly spawn in new worlds and in newly discovered areas of current worlds. The spawn block will most likely be taken out in a later update. The lone buildings tend to generate few and far between therefore I decided to add the spawn blocks for now so those of you that download this have the option if you can't find a naturally spawned one.
Updates:
Version 0.7
-Major bug fix and few minor tweaks.
-New "Unfinished Statue"
-New npc type
Old Updates
Version 0.6
-Two new lone buildings.
-One new random npc.
-One new race and 3 new npc types.
-New fishing class building.
-Re-tuned all loot to reduce the amount some and better fit it's owners situation.
-Kinniken fixed the multi npc spawn issue so now the main chest in the Holding Grounds is lootable safely. Requires Millenaire 1.6.8 or above.
-Changed spawn blocks for Holding Grounds and Amazon Tribe to help with conflicts.
Version 0.5
-Added two new lone buildings.
-Added two new random npcs.
-Added New race and three new npc types
-Added first of its kind new multi npc spawns building map.
-Various other tweaks.
Version 0.4
-Added random npc encounters. Only works while exploring new areas, no spawn blocks for these.
-Two new buildings
-Five new npc types
-Further tweaked some things.
Version 0.3
-Fixed glass panes causing crash from Millenaire 1.6.5
-Added two new Races, Elves and Dark Elves.
-Added new situational building.
-New Elven shop.
Version 0.2
-Added new blocks previously not in Millenaire. (requires Millenaire 1.6.4)
-Tweaked the Giant Fort and Dwarven Encampment some.
-New friendly Dwarven building.
-Handy Dwarven shop for trading.
-New Amazon tribe.
-New Shroud race.
Heres some features of this pack.
-New fantasy styled npcs
-Fantasy styled lone spawning buildings.
-Random Rare npc mob spawns.
-Hostile Npcs that will attack you.
-Take out all the npcs at a location and the building becomes yours
-Kinnikens new loot system, after taking over a location chests unlock with all sorts of random loot or maybe nothing at all, you may just hit the jackpot though.
-Trading posts.
-Secrets at every building
The Buildings
The Unfinished Statue
This ancient statue was abandoned long ago. It's builders most likely realized the project was much to great and eventually lost interest. Since that time it has become home to another ancient race that moved into the empty grounds. Take back this ancient site and resume construction.
Some say they saw it in a forest or taiga while others claim it was a swamp or plainland, and more claim it to be in a large desert.
Dream Core
The Dream Core is a place where reality from other dimensions spills out. These core are built to hold nether portals and the seeping magic from that realm tends to attract local creatures who can sense its power.
Dream Cores are found in forests, swamplands, plains, deserts, and taigas.
Elven Fishing Post
The elves are known for being able to survive in the wilderness. These elves live off the fish they catch in nearby water sources. The elves are some of the greatest fishermen in the lands and being such have an abundant amount of fish which they will happily trade to other people. Among fish they also sell other items used by the elves.
Find the elves around forests, swamps, taigas, river, and extreme hills.
The Holding Grounds
This is a stronghold used to house some of the lands worst villains. They are entombed here by the locals and it looks like there has been a fresh shipment of inmates. This building is not furnished like many structures it is simply a place for the worst to be left to die. If you happen upon the prison feel free to roam its grounds but beware not to break the cell walls that hold the prisoners. If you wish this fort for your own you must best all the villains, no easy task to be sure.
These prisons have been erected in forests, swamps, plains, and deserts.
The Giant Fort
This is more of a castle really. Beware it's inhabitants are the most deadly and overpowered you will come across to date. Victory over them however will yield much loot and a decent shiny new castle all for you to call home, equipped with everything a player needs in a living space.
These buildings are very large therefore they need a large area to spawn no need looking in the mountains for them.
They can spawn in forests, swamplands, plains, and desert biomes.
Dwarven Encampment
This is one of the rare hidden camps of the lost Dwarven race. These little rouges are pretty feisty, beware encroaching on their territory. If you are able to best these guys the camp and loot of the dwarven miners can be yours.
These locations can be found among biomes such as forests, taigas, extreme hills, and plains.
Dwarven Mine
Of course not all Dwarves are rogues. Most are a very friendly people. The friendly dwarves are great miners and only pick the most choice of locations to mine. If you happen upon one of these mines you may freely trade with the inhabitants. The dwarven store carries many useful items that may aid you on your adventure, for a price of course. Fear not though, if you do not have any denier you can always trade some of your supplies for more needed items.
These miners search for the best spots to mine their rare ores. You may come across them in spots such as forests, taigas, extreme hills, and the plains.
If you do not wish to remain friendly with these kind dwarves. You may of course slaughter their clan. If you do this you may want to wait and plan your attack for a time when they have a chance to really fill their chests with loot.
Amazon Tribe
These are the first known inhabitants of the Amazon tribe. This legendary tribe consisted of large warrior women, who are very deadly. Beware they do not like men discovering their camouflaged homes. If discovered they will kill to protect their secrets. These women often have great jeweled treasures, if you are unfortunately set upon by them and survive the encounter their loot and homes are yours, Often the spoils are great when finding the loot of a tribe of women.
These women build there homes in ares that they can be easily hidden. To avoid these elusive women stay away from areas like forests, taigas, and extreme hills.
Amazon Tree Fort
This is one of the great lookout towers of the mighty Amazon tribe. This ancient tree was taken over by the Amazons long ago and since has become one of the main outposts for their growing civilization.
Like all Amazon tribes they can be found among the forests, taigas, and extreme hills.
The Shroud
A miss use of magics by a strange cone headed, big nosed civilization has caused a tear in the fabric of reality in our minecraft world. From the void a new deadly magical race has emerged. This new threat that is starting to leak out into the lands can not be ignored. These new creatures, which have become known as The Shroud, bring parts of the dimension they are from with them in their structures. Their deadly keeps have started to spring up across the lands, if you happen to find yourself faced with one it is best to flee the area. The magic of the shrouds is very deadly and not to be trifled with.
To avoid these foul creatures do not enter any boime, make a boat and stay in the oceans or rivers. This would be best.
If you manage to take one of these Keeps for yourself it is best to set the signal fires along the top areas of the keep, to show others that the area is now safe from this vile threat. These magical beings having learned the use of portals by the fault of the wards, they have hidden one in their keep which needs activating. When activated it also makes for a nice shroud door, as seen above.
Shroud Manor
Another structure has appeared from the void dimension. More Shrouds are pouring out, and they have brought with them new magics which they have taught to all of their kind. This new building that traveled with them from their dimension is very large, as large as the great giant fort in fact. This building was used for the development of magic portals therefore ready portals which nicely double as a shroud door, are spread throughout the manor. This is an ideal home for an aspiring magician, if only you can find a way to best its inhabitants, unfortunately the Shroud are merciless, it would be best to keep away.
The Grove of the Chosen
Noble elves have started popping up around the land. These pointy eared people are a kind and welcoming race. They tend to have many nice items for trade. The grove is a special place for the elven race, the chosen of the elves must go to live at this ancient tree and care for it as if it were their own child. This place must be respected so do not defile this land.
You may find the elves in forests and swamplands as well as taigas and rivers.
Fallen Grove of the Chosen
The grove has fallen to the evil Dark Elves. Stop them from desecrating this sacred land and it will be yours to care for as the elves once did. It seems the elves had some fore warning of the approaching dark elves, all their vast treasures appear to be missing. It must still be located somewhere on the grounds only hidden so the evil dark elves wouldn't find it. If you take this grove back for your own be on the look out for the missing chests spread out among the grove.
Forsaken Cemetery
Here lies many of Minecrafts fallen souls. The Reaper resides in this cemetery and he will take your soul if you venture upon its grounds. This cursed cemetery can be found away from the water.
The Random NPCs
Haunted Lands
The elves are known for being able to survive in the wilderness. These elves live off the fish they catch in nearby water sources. The elves are some of the greatest fishermen in the lands and being such have an abundant amount of fish which they will happily trade to other people. Among fish they also sell other items used by the elves.
Find the elves around forests, swamps, taigas, river, and extreme hills.
Wandering Dark Elf
This great and mysterious swordsman is a threat to the lands. He was a dark elf in their dark army and left when he could find no more worthy challenge. He now roams the land slaughtering all that cross his path hoping to find the one that can be called his equal in battle. He keeps very well hidden camps, look for something out of place to find his treasure.
Gremlins
The Gremlins are known for getting into places they shouldn't be and causing trouble. If you see a gremlin racing toward you turn tale and run as his clan is sure to be right behind him. These little guys are not to be taken lightly.
The Phantom Miner
This is the true spirit of minecraft. This great spirit is very friendly to it's civilians. If the great spirit decides you are worthy enough to gaze upon him he will happily trade with you the tools of the land.
Kingtook
The great ancient king of the mighty Bantooks. He now roams the land leaving devastation in his path. If you see the trees ahead shaking you should turn and run as this is the only creature mighty enough to attain such a feat. This king keeps his treasures close by. If you are set upon by this brute and emerge the victor search the nearby area as most likely his treasure chest will be near.
Requirements:
-Minecraft 1.8.1 and above, as Millenaire becomes updated for newer versions.
-Millenaire 1.6.5 and above, 0.3 and above require the new features in Millenaire 1.6.5
Imaginations version:
0.7
Installation:
Installation is very simple, there will be a file telling you how in the download.
Put the Imaginations folder into your millenaire-custom / custom cultures folder. That folder will be located in your .minecraft folder. Do not put it in the millenaire-custom / cultures folder
Put the imaginations.zip into your mods folder. That folder will be located in your .minecraft folder.
Millenaire is of course required.
Spawn Blocks
Get your hands on a nice Village Wand and you can spawn your own fantasy building. Beware though as the hostiles will spawn with the building. Also be careful spawning as you never know exactly where around you they will spawn. If you are spawning near other structures you may want to make a backup save just in case it decides to spawn in your building. Something else to think about, If you spawn a hostile building. You never know where you will be when the building spawns, and you could spawn right next to deadly npcs. Therefore it is advised to set difficulty to passive before spawning.

It's kinda odd. I create the villages these days as the default weighting causes mostly lone buildings. Anyway I have the 3 Mayan village and 2 Notch villages in this area. The other 2 Mayan villages seem to be fine, this was the second one I started and it doesn't seem to get a population like the others and has these problems. This is the Village Milpa (Agricultural Village). I did however see an error for the military village - similar error only about the "mayanarmyforge" but I don't know which building that is. I can't see an army forge, there is a Hunter's Forge in the military village but no army one.
I ask because I don't really want to update this current Millenaire game I've got going as it is a 1.7.3 world.
Not really no, updating to 1.8.1 won't hurt your 1.7.3 world? In fact only the unexplored areas that you explore after updating would be affected at all
Hi, first of all, love your mod, it REALLY adds a feeling of adventure to the game.
I got your stuff in the Yogbox and I currently got my mansion watching over my Mayan village, watching how it develops.
Currently they are upgrading the ball court.
Anyway, I have a few questions.
I got 1.6.6 and I really like my current map. Can I somehow update it to 1.6.8. (Ill backup in case of errors)
Also, I have the imagination pack, which adds to the adventure imo, but in the 1.6.8 log, it says that some bugs are fixed with the imagination pack, what are these bugs and can I play it with 1.6.6? I encountered the huge troll already but no villages yet..

Aye the hunters forge is the army forge it shouldn't be labeled as army forge, I'll look into that. There was an issue with its shop that was fixed in the last update which hopefully got it. I also fixed the chicken and sheep spawns in their farms which should be in the next update.

Not really no, updating to 1.8.1 won't hurt your 1.7.3 world? In fact only the unexplored areas that you explore after updating would be affected at all
Yes

You'll usually find me in the General Off Topic section. Also quote when you reply so I can see!
Aye the hunters forge is the army forge it shouldn't be labeled as army forge, I'll look into that. There was an issue with its shop that was fixed in the last update which hopefully got it. I also fixed the chicken and sheep spawns in their farms which should be in the next update.
Indeed.
