I'm still having trouble installing. The directions have gotten more confusing saying to put buildingplans in the .minecraft folder. What about the other stuff in the millenaire folder like the text files that are next to buildingplans? And then there is the text file that is OUTSIDE the millenaire folder. Does the millenaire folder go anywhere? And if not why have it at all? I think you really need to reorganize things so it is more clear on what goes where.
The millenaire folder goes in .minecraft, that's it. What text file outside the millenaire folder are you speaking of?
there is a millenaire_config.txt outside of the millenaire folder. Also, the original post of this topic says to place the buildingplans folder in the .minecraft folder next to the bin, saves, etc. This is why it is confusing because the buildingplans folder is INSIDE the millenaire folder, so buildingplans would NOT go next to bin if I placed the entire millenaire folder into the .minecraft. You see how your instructions are confusing?
FIRST
Freshly install minecraft. Do this by deleting your .minecraft folder and then running the latest minecraft exe. Make sure you back up your save games etc.
SECOND
Install ModLoader. The instructions are here http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?t=80246.
Basically what you have to do is download the latest version (currently 1.401) and extract all the files.
THIRD
Download 7zip http://www.7-zip.org/. Now navigate to your minecraft.jar via c:/users/yourname/appdata/roaming/.minecraft/bin. Right click on minecraft.jar and open archive in 7zip. Now drag all the mod loader files into the minecraft.jar. Do this by selecting them all and dragging them into an open space on the minecraft.jar window opened by 7zip.
FOURTH
Download Millenaire 0.21b and extract the files. Drag the CONTENTS of "put in minecraft.jar" into your minecraft.jar in the same way you did for modloader. Drag the CONTENTS of "put in minecraft folder" into your .minecraft folder found under c:/users/yourname/appdata/roaming. These contents should be a millenaire folder and a millenaire.config or something like that.
FIFTH
Run minecraft. Press V to locate a nearby village. Text will be displayed to show that the mod has loaded correctly.
0.21b has fixed the folder name error etc so if you follow the instructions above it should work fine.
One thing I have noticed is the Boulangerie error is still occurring where they never realise that the boulangerie has been built.
oh no, i did everything you said, but now i get a black screen of death
I thought about the guardtower, did they really use towers as barracks? And the priest building, i have not done any research, but wasnt the priests very highly regarded? Looks like he has a very small and not very nice house : p Church is very nice, as are all the other buildings : D
Ah ok, I see your points. For the guard tower I agree in fact, I added it at the last minute since once the "fight back" code was implemented adding a guard was really simple. I'll change it later maybe, have an actual house for him and a separate guard tower.
For the presbytery, it is maybe a bit small, but then he's "only" a village priest. Those wouldn't necessarily be very rich or educated. I'll probably add an extension or two to his house though.

Kinniken, is there any way you could make it lagg less?
I hope so, it's my priority right now. I'll be off for a few days staring from tomorrow, but I'll try it out when I'm back. It's typically slow work though, optimisation is tough. The cache pathing I introduced sometime back improved things a lot, but I'm getting the feeling that the bigger village and higher number of villagers cancelled it out...

Ok, you have lots of 0.2 files there. Removed everything and add back the only thing that matters in 0.2.1 - the millenaire directory.
From what you say I'm assuming the readme still mentions that buildingplans should be next to bin? If that's indeed the case that's an oversight on my part indeed, I'll fix that.

Bug:
They only build one type of building. At the moment they are building my third bakery... :sad.gif:
To you and other people having this bug: is this on a 0.2.1 village, or a 0.2 one moved to 0.2.1? If the second it's normal, the bug fix isn't retroactive. In a fresh 0.2.1, it shouldn't happen - normally...

I also have an idea for this mod since you recently added children and teens, maybe they should have a school or someplace to all gather rather than just their house. And in the school the chalkboard could maybe be made with fences and wool

I'd hate to seem like I'm telling you what to do, but maybe the addition of a "Barracks" building would be great.
For example, it would contain a few "soldiers" that would kill nearby hostile mobs (and you, if you attack), and where you could also buy armor and weapons.
i am having a bug where a builder keeps grabbing wood but never builds anything and just keeps coming back and taking more wood. is she saving up for something or what?

I did ALL of the above, and yet when I go into a new world, and hit V, absolutely nothing happens. Someone mentioned about trying the world with seed 'b' and then going North East to a lava lake. I did that, still nothing. Its as if there is no mod installed at all.
I did, but I don't know if Kinniken Liked it or not
I sent him a PM, but he never responded.
He must hate me or something ;_;
(but yah, blackscreen usually = didn't delete META-INF folder.)

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, an opinion cant be awful. Its an opinion. Its your opinion that his opinion is awful.

Totally agree but what are we going to pay with?
Whenever you attack a villager, if you switch to peaceful they will still attack you(i was laying roads, hit one of them with a shovel)

I REALLY want to play with this mod, please help.

That's not really a bug, that'll happen with any mod. The only reason they would stop attacking is if they despawned when you switched to peaceful.
