You're right, people take religion too far all the time. They are just the crazies of society but don't think they are, which in fact, makes them crazy and everybody hates them for ruining everything with their religion based negative nancy talk.

I'm a Christian teetering on Agnosticism, and it's people like these that make me think God's not the way to go. I'm not offended at all, and if I were the OP I'd personally PM everyone who was offended and tell them "I. Don't. Care."
Don't change the name, it's a good name and they have no right to tell you what to name your mods. It's the same as the dude who made an Aether mod, people were saying "You can't call it the Aether because there's already a collab".
It's a good mod, but I won't use it personally, 'cause I want the game to be harder; and I have incredibly good luck with finding iron.

Some people really are overreacting. But there have got to be 101 other things that this could be named, most of which would not offend anyone at all. The reaction is because he decided to use the name of a religiously significant figure instead.
Sure, it's a Spanish name. But there's almost no chance that he had an average person by that name on his mind when he made this. Sure, he's got "freedom of speech". But think about it, it's just like racism. Low, childish jokes just because a select few think it's hilarious. Sure, it's just a mod, and I could just steer away and do other things right now. But if people who care don't intervene, then people who don't care will inflict their self-absorption and lack of sense upon the next generation. That's why the moderator rank even exists.
In other words, people have the right to cast their opinion on things like this. They have freedom of speech too. Just because they'll react like this to a religious topic doesn't mean they should go die in a hole. Everyone will react like this to something.
