No, that is how you put it in. I think the issue here actually is that there's another config you're changing that's messing it up, causing the file to regenerate. Could you get me a log of when the minecraft loads where the properties file resets?
I installed Modloader, Audiomod, ModloaderMP and MCForge correctly. I put the portalgun folder from the zip into .minecraft\mods. Started the game. Got an error. Minecraft wouldn't let me copy-paste from the client (o.O) so I got Modloader.txt.

I can see you're using build #58 of forge. You need to use another build for 1.2.3, cause build #58 made changes that broke this mod (though it was fixed in build #59 onwards till the last build for 1.2.3, #64.)

I have a great idea for thermal discouragement beams. It fires rapid projectiles in a striaght line. Somehow give them a special property that when this property is introduced to redirection cubes it fires projectiles out of its output side and when introduced to laser catchers it produces a redstone charge.just an idea
Wow, checked back after a friend told me about you making portals see-through (didn't believe him at first), and this is just fantastic. I was bummed at first when I saw I couldn't use magic launcher with it, but the "new" installation method just makes that pointless. Also, I can't believe how well the see-through portals work. Fantastic job.
*edit* By the way, making the gun pick up blocks is great as it is, but making it keep momentum just blew my mind (going to have a ton of fun with that). Thanks for keeping up the updates!

This case was special, it was a forge issue and not an end user error.

They've always worked on wooden pressure plates. Stone ones are scripted by notch to be mob triggered only.
