One of you many mods overwrote a forge class. Start fresh copy, add prerequisites, add forge, delete meta-inf, install mods one by one to see which one is being problematic.
Is there still a server mod of this, or are you still updating it?

I've discovered a VERY minor bug, not even worthy of the name "bug" to be honest, more of unintended functions. I use ChickenBones' Not Enough Items mod, and when it is installed along with Forge, you can give yourself spawners for any mobs at all (chicken, skeleton, blaze, giant, pig, pigmen, endermen...). Oddly, once I installed portal v5 (yes, I know it's not the most recent version, and yes, i'm running MC 1.1.0) NEI now allows me to give myself mobspawners for the turrets! But it gets weirder:
I assume that NEI looks at the list of mobs avaliable and creates a spawner for each... and as an odd result of that, while a "Villager" spawner has an ID of 52:120, the ID for a "PortalTurret" spawner is 52:3002, a much larger metadata value.
You know that every spawner has a miniature of what it spawns spinning inside? Well, for a "PortalTurret" spawner, that miniature is a turret... with a riddiculously long red laser sight sticking ~10 blocks beyond the mesh of the spawner! (So, apparently, the targeting laser is considered part of the turret) (as a side effect, this makes it super easy when testing to determine how far away you need to get before a spawner deactivates)
The last thing is that, when the turrets spawn, every single one is facing the same direction (identified in the debug screen as direction f=0), though the placement is randomized like with any other spawner.
Just thought I'd point this out, since I didn't see "removed turret spawner" in the changelog notes.

I've changed it in the latest version so that when they spawn they face random directions
And yeah the laser is indeed part of the turret model.
In the latest version you can pedestal spawners too, but they don't do anything sadly.
@Sklobington they are in /portalgun/resources I believe and ingame they are on records. They are .ogg files if I remember correctly.
@iChun I went into the properties folder and turned on the option to have turrets not shoot the player or tamed wolves. However, seeing as in 1.2.3 there is tameable cats, would you/could you/are you going to change that? I like my pet kittehs =3 and I don't want my turret defense to kill them =( Please and thank you =)

The first thing I'd like to say on this thread is that I really, really like every update that has come out for this mod. iChun puts a ton of work into this mod, and I'm constantly blown away by what comes out of this mod every time I play with it.
I was having this problem with the latest update which I didn't see addressed in the first post. Making portalWhitelist true (equal to 1) seems to make all surfaces portalable, regardless of what portalListIDs is equal to. Making portalWhitelist = 0 still makes just the blocks in portalListIDs unportablable. This is in the properties file in /mods/portalgun/.
As I understand it, this should make only dirt and grass blocks portalable. Right now, it only makes every block portalable. I've reinstalled iChun's mod and all the mods it's dependent on several times. If there's anything someone thinks I could be doing wrong, I'd love it if you let me know. Thank you so much!

I just have one little suggestion left. (don't worry, I'll stop soon. XD ) And that is if you can make the Electronic Intelligence indicator more ''easy'' to wire. Here's an example of what i mean:

Well that's quite interesting, i think i just discovered a bug, take a look at this:
It seems that with glowstone on the bottom is doesn't power it. (the left one)
Oh btw, this also counts for HEP Launchers, so when you like placed a HEP Launcher on glowstone and then power that glowstone nothing happens. So i guess glowstone is somehow bugged...
Glowstone is the same as Glass. I don't think they can transmit redstone through them.

This was also the reason you couldn't put portals on glowstone initially but you begged for it
I'm sure iChun is thinking of a lot of things. The issue is coding it.
Slopes are probably the easy part to code. Portals on slopes is a whole different realm.
