I have an issue. The game works fine, but periodically chunks will start "Moving"; rotating around and floating in the sky. They cannot be touched or anything. We are using Mystcraft and some client side mods such as Dynamic Lightning, InfernalMobs and Show Durability mods. We are also using MineLittlePony mod and Optifine D2. We are using Forge 6.4.0.381 and Minecraft 1.4.5 Pre-Release.
Removing client side mods did not fix this. Sometimes my character's model with disappear in some parts. Sometimes the front legs will take on the portal texture. Sometimes my body will be entirely replaced with Portal textures.
The game will flicker when in the inventory. I use a GeForce 560 Ti with 2GB of RAM and I can see through portals just fine.
We edited the portal mod Block IDs for Client and server to not conflict with Mystcraft. There has been 0crashes. Is this an issue with see through portals? If so, how can I disable them?
The image in the building is circling the building non-stop. I turned off see through portals to see if this would fix it. It did not.

Hello, I recently downloaded FTB and a I'm having problems connecting to a friends server. The portal mod version 1.4.2v0.2 is giving me the error. Portal Gun: Block IDs does not match server. I am stuck, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Love the mod, however, We seem to be having trouble configuring the thermal discouragment beam to deal damage on our FTB server. I tried seting it to TDBDoesDamage 1 in the Portalgun.Properties on the server as the variable isn't listed in the PortalgunServer.properties. But it doesn't deal damage to players, I tested setting it to 1 for my client as well, still no luck.

First off..............thanks for your awesome work on the best mod ever.....................me and my son have been having such a good time with this thing since you created it last year. And as a praise to you, I have never had an issue of it not working, today i added to my 1.4.2 Mod Favorites and it crashed. Probably because I didn't put portal gun as one of my first mods. It was like Mod 22 or 23. My Bad, I should have known better. Anyway, instead of redoing the whole thing again, my crash is because ExtraBiomes is using id 204 already. Please explain to me how to change this in the properties file and I think it will help many of our fellow PortalGun buddies. ExtraBiomes is a pretty kool mod, but I will take it out if I have to, in order to have my Bad S Portal Gun back in my hands. I have PortalGun in all my other versions of MC, but I really want it in this 1.4.2 project..........It's installed in 1.4.4 and it's working pretty awesome for now. Even seeing through portals is workin for me. I see on a few posts that it may or may not working for others, but it's good for me.

[Update] Good 2 Go.................Got it fixed..............my little brain figured it out.
here's what I did.............didn't know it was so simple. Someone needs to post this on the wiki too. The wiki is extremely awesome for the people who have it working, but there is absolutely no info about how to get it working. Alot of these people installing this stuff are just kids, not saying that they aren't 100% capable of doing a kick ass job at anything they try to do, but what I needed to get fixed was about 3 seconds of work, once I figured it out I wasted an hour of my time, could have been shooting Zombies into the Lava for an hour already...............lol................
As I stated above..............my crash was because ExtraBiomes was using the 3 Block id's that PortalGun was trying to use. I just changed the following 3 item in the PortalGun.properties file and I am Shootin Mobs half way across my world as we speak............

it's working like a charm 25 mods installed
another note to anyone that is going to try to edit this file......................
Notepad + + is a must...........download it ..............100% free and 1000% better than Windows Notepad

Notpad + +
advice............you should always back up anything you are about to modify........
Thanks @namAehT. I have one more question, though. After installing the mod, I began to build a map. I went into my creative-mode inventory, and I couldn't find the Command Block [ID:137]. (Which BTW, is not supposed to be used by this mod.) Is there a reason it isn't there, and, if so, how can I fix the problem?
I am not using any mods other than the ones required for this one.
I followed the instructions. I even got help from my little brother. That\\’s how you know I\\’m desperate. I installed forge by copying all of its files into the minecraft.jar, then made a mods folder to put the portal gun .zip file in and ran minecraft. I even downgraded to 1.4.4. There was no crash, but the mod isn\\’t loading. I can\\’t find the new objects in creative mode, so it doesn\\’t seem to be working. I am on a mac. Any idea what I\\’m doing wrong?
i have only one problem with this mod: it messes up textures. in 1.4.2 it was replacing my skin with random patches of block textures, just tried in 1.4.5 and its doing it to chests

the top 3/4 of the config explain what the options do, the bottom 1/4 are the actual values you change
