*AHEM* WTF IS THE POINT i mean its cool but if you cant rip meat out of pigs, tear off feathers form birds, rape cows and rip of sheep hair with a torch whats the point. do they grow into big animals that never despawn and do that to
Do the babies have the same amount of energy as the adults?
Not that I condone it or anything :Skeleton:, but I was thinking they should die after only 1 or 2 punches.
Awesome mod, they are so funny looking.
New block ideas:
* Lambs could drop pieces of wool (maybe you need 4 to make 1 wool)
* Piglets could drop bacon bits (eat one for either 1/2 or 1 whole heart)
* Calfs could drop a kobe beef pattie (this should give larger hearts than pork chops because Kobe is DELICIOUS, and you probably should not be able to eat this in it's raw state or it gives you salmonilla and you lose 1/2 a heart :SSSS:).
* Are there also chicks ? I thought I saw one - they could totally drop Cadbury eggs, just in time for Easter.
Dude, why would you even think of hitting the babies in the first place? And you even thought of drops for them.
Maybe some cages for easy transportation. I know they follow you, but sometimes when you have this secure base in the heavens and your way up is a straight ladder, taking them there would take long. Just a thought.

Regardless of why baby animals might die, they have the default health for mobs, which is 5 hearts. I haven't really thought about changing it either way. On reflection, however, it seems that perhaps by taming them their health should double, since you are taking care of them and they are 'healthier'. But babies are more fragile than adults, so maybe I will give them half as much health as their grown-up counterparts.
The only thing I wonder about is why do the tamed adults have to have a custom skin? Basically, it clashes with any texture packs you may be using.
That is a good question and one that I went back and forth over a lot when I added adults. The main reason I ended up using custom skins was so the tame adults could be distinguished apart from the wild ones (this becomes a big deal if one of your tame animals gets away.) The second reason was so that the adults would have the same colorings that they had as babies (with chicks being the exception, of course.) Since adults are permanently tamed, there was no reason to use the same system that the babies use where tags turn on and off, and if I wanted to draw tags directly on their texture, they would need a custom skin anyway.
Ultimately, I decided that it was better to use a custom skin that people could change to look any way they wanted. In addition, I figured that players able to mod Minecraft should also be able to copy the textures from their favorite pack and overwrite mine without too much trouble.
could somone send me a vid for installing this? i have so much trouble installing stuff :sad.gif:
I literally just posted a tut vid in the OP - but it is for Mac installation. If you are using a Windows PC, you can try to follow paulsoaresjr's fairy mod install, it works the same way
Hmm... I have an issue. I'm 99% certain I've installed it all correctly, and yet... no baby piggies? D: Maybe I should try re-re-installing it. Hmm. If there is a mistake, I'm pretty sure it'd be in the baby animal one itself. Hmm.. I shall see.
OH OH OH dear. Gosh darnit. I installed it the mac way.
Scratch this whole post.

Gimme
I'm quite the shady customer.
I don't think that they will, it looks like the wolves only attack if they are tamed and commanded to do so.
I haven't. I think he's got it covered without me, though :smile.gif:
MUST DOWNLOAD!!!
I love it! Add wolf pups when the wolves are released!
