I finally got around to updating from 1.2.5 to 1.6.4 and could not for the life of me get this working. Finally, (after numerous reinstalls of the game and mods) I figured out that it was a couple of settings that optifine adds to the game. After turning off Anisotropic Filtering and Antialiasing I was able to get it working. Now I am having a problem with the needles. I'm using a 128x texture pack and the needles are too thin to really make out the different colors for the different ores. I understand why they are so thin, I am just wondering if there is a way to make them larger. I apologize if this was already mentioned, my eyes are a little glazed over from reading so many post trying to get other mods working so I might've missed it.

Low post count does not always mean "noob", it can also mean that the search button works.
Is there a list of settings that others have made for this mod? I love using it to go treasure hunting, but I haven't found the IDs for Thaumcraft 4 infused stones and there individual DVs so it will point me in the direction of all six with individual colors.

complete code overhaul, threw away ugly mc texture hack code
harnessed the raw power of openGL, now drawing ONTOP of existing mc textures
+no more resolution/optifine issues, no more opengl error spam in console
+needles now independent from resolution, no more 1px sticks
+needles are now sexy non-opaque
+missing config file now autocreates omfg
+compass should start working right away without having to switch modes

Edit: The only 'new' thing it does now is: When you pick it up from the inventory to put into the hotbar, during the time it's in your hand, the whole background, of the whole screen, turns gray. Not a big deal, just fyi. It's Great not having 1 px. arrows!
Yes. But the config file will have to be redone, since numeric block IDs will no longer be reliable.

Not sure what is causing this issue, but it the arrows don't render on the compass item in hand. It does however render them everywhere else. Will try setting separate item to true and see if that helps.
There is a rare mythical button called "Search" that likes to answer questions; however, due to its nature, it often blends in with its surroundings so as to remain hidden.

I have one issue though, when I open to LAN for others to join, the compass does not work for them, but it still works for me.
Is there a setting that I need to change?
