One question, (and it's probaly obvious) someone mentioned that you can use fanblock spike combo as a trap, but is it possible to turn fanblocks on thier sides? (I had a good pit idea, but can't get it to work)

Aim at the side of a block to place it facing outward from the block. So if you right click on the ceiling, it will face downward. If you right click on a wall, it will face outward.
I made a 4:30 second Youtube video displaying the basics of the fan block (How to craft them, what they do, a few things to use them for, how to turn them off with redstone, ect)

I've given up on dual weilding for now. AC's dual wielding just wasn't designed for MC. I was trying for 6 hours to make it to where the standard tools could be used in each hand... and I succeeded! But then some kind of memory overflow error cropped up. And I can't place blocks anymore. Bleh.
The good news is I got shields working. Yes it's a little awkward using a shield when you can only use one item at a time, but it could let you get up close to those pesky skeletons.
Oh yeah, and I stole some code from the ghast fireballs too, so I'll be able to make another shield capable of bouncing their arrows back at them! This time I'll release a standalone, as well as one packaged with the fan blocks mod, since both modify EntityPlayer.
due to giving up dual-wielding, I have a suggestion, the megaton hammer. hit something, it blows up, and you take no damage. also, the superboots have the effect pigs used to have on ice (absurd acceleration).

Somehing's wrong. I can't throw the boomerang, it crashes. The boots all do nothing. And the rebreather doesn't stop me from dieing underwater. Also, possibly unrelated to this mod in paticular, but i crash when a tool breaks. :tongue.gif:
Your fans, combined with ZeuX's "Store on Collision", have made my skeleton spawn trap into a flawless machine. Thank you!
And just a heads up if anyone else has the same issue I initially had: FX conflicts with zombe's flymod (with fd.class, specifically). Just use the one without FX and it'll work fine.
I've got a bunch of fans blowing mobs into spikes. That's great fun. The only problem occurs when the drops stay inside the spike blocks. I can get them if I am REALLY careful, but I am constantly getting wounded or killed. Especially when I forget to take off my super boots.
Is there a way to keep the spikes from hurting the player? By either turning off the player's damage and not the mob's damage, or some way to make the drops eject or pass through the spike block?
And if anyone has any spike trap tips please share. Thanks
This is probably a engine limitation, but it seems like the longer that you 'fall' while riding a fan block, the more damage you take when you hit the ground. When I was messing with it, I seemed to hit terminal velocity pretty fast.
I am Addicted to your boomerangs! I love them so much, but I think it would be awesome if you could make it harvest reeds or crops! I know 2x2 crafting grid does that, but I don't want 1 million and one things, I only want one.

EDIT: Definately a conflict somewhere. Now I can't load any saves. It just closes.
Anyway, fixed the rendering issue with dual weilding. I now have a perfect working version of dual weilding from AC in minecraft.
Not going to release it until I at least get the normal tools working though.
Also, I'm an idiot. I found out where the code for the shield is.

I'm working on making boots and umbrellas compatible with this. Also I want to release shields too.
Also this mod is probably incompatible with a great many other mods. It modifies a lot of class files.
