Can someone plz give me a minecraft.jar file with all these mods because for some reason mine wont work
and if you could have trap door mod i would be greatful
Nice mod (Speaker Block)... too bad it doesn't plays the .mp3 files... :sad.gif:
I actually did some digging to find out if I could make Minecraft's sound system use mp3s, and my research led me to the dead end that has been the biggest peeve for me out of anything: patent issues.
As some of you probably know the sound system Minecraft uses was written by a guy named Paul, hence why there's a folder in Minecraft.jar called paulscode. I actually found a post by the man himself asking about Java mp3 codecs for his sound system, and he was basically told that there are legal issues surrounding the mp3 format that make it kind of sticky to develop codecs for commercial use. Apparently he just gave up on it after that because according to the paulscode javadoc there isn't an mp3 codec available for his sound system.
I don't know, maybe someone very technically savvy and familiar with the mp3 file structure can write a codec for paul's sound system. Seems unlikely though.
i get a black screen when i did all the installation correctly for the boomerangs mod. please help i dont want to lose my mo creatures and more creeps and weirdos mod. please help, even i changed the properties file to a unique code. please help again, baskin5000
Love your mods, when I try to install the spikes mod; the game black screens, I have META INF deleted, I changed the block ID to 161 from 126 and it still says that 126 is being occupied and that Spikes are interfering, help?
I am having a little trouble with the sensor blocks, I for some reason cannot figure out how to make them face any other way but up. Ive tried different directions, and right clicking but doesn't work :sad.gif:

Like fan blocks, sensors face away from the side of the block you place them on. So if you place them directly on the ground they will face up. Place them on a wall, and they will face away from the wall.
That may change in the next version as I have found it an inconvenience to have to place a block just to place the sensor/fan, but I don't want to make it to where if you right click it it changes direction. That would make it pretty annoying to place stuff on on sensor/fan.
I'm recording a vid right now for the magic wand mod, with actual commentary. My god, I never realized how whiny and nasally my voice sounded. I think I'll just crawl into a corner now. I've tried looking for guides on how to speak from my chest but old habits die really godamn hard. Nothing seems to be working. Bleh.
Well, suffice it to say that my computer and this mod don't get along.. Everyone seems to be using a newer OS or something.. Or maybe they're doing something right, I dunno. All I know is that when I try to place the Music Block down, Minecraft crashes. I'm using XP, and I doubt I'm going to get a copy of a newer OS for a while.. If I could get some help with this, it would be much appreciated.
I only have ModLoader, your Fan Block and your Spike Block, other than the Music Block, installed. The folder is in the right place, and the error pops away too quickly to read.. And I tried the debug thing you suggested, but, even with the path correct, it wouldn't let me do it.
Shame, as this looks really fun!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Very probably insane, so don't mind me too much when I ramble.
Can you please add a way to change what blocks the hookshot can work with? Perhaps in the hookshot properties file, add a space to type block IDs that the hookshot will work on. I am trying to recreate zelda games and it is broken to have the hookshot work with anything. I want a way to only let it work on wooden objects.

Try adventurecrafts version of the hookshot. I believe it only works with logs and planks.
I'm not sure whether it is a compatibility issue with some mods I have installed ( which it most likely is ) or if it's just my stupidity, but for some reason whenever I place a spike block ANYWHERE, the game crashes. Only happens with spikes though which is wierd.
I also began with some ID compatibility issues at first that are solved now. ( No ID issues with spikes )
If it would help I have a list of the mods I have installed, and they are:
Trap Doors
PItfall
Spikes
Sensors
Rope
Baitbox
Better than wolves
Modloader
Property reader
Vertical Redstone
Somnia
TooManyItems
SSP commands
PhoenixTerrainMod
I am having trouble changing the properties file for the boomerang. I cannot seem to get it to hit switches, break things, follow my cursor, etc. I put it in minecraft.jar and then tried bin. The normal boomerang works fine, but the properties is frustrating me >.<
