The water is brilliant. I was hoping for something like this to be made. Hope you can fix any of the bugs and get it to look and move smoothly in the future. :smile.gif:

Thanks, but after a ton more coding and a complete rewrite, I can't seem to keep it from going crazy. The first writing of it kept going into an infinite loop and caused tons of lag. The second writing wouldn't stay in the loop. I don't fully understand how updatetick works yet, I might revisit finite water but for now I'm stumped.

Anyway, since I've been stumped on the water mod I decided to produce something else.
I've always loved how minecraft cannons are made, but it's way too expensive to use realistically.
So I've been developing something I think I'll call 'cannonpowder'. It has the same push as tnt, but it doesn't hurt you or damage the blocks around it. The recipe will give you a whole bunch of the stuff, because it's meant to be pretty expendable. I then spent hours making cannons, because it's really fun. Here's what I made so far:
I have watched the video for the transmitter loads of times and i still don't understand it
1. Create a switch.
2. Make redstone come off of it.
3. Attach that redstone to transmitter.
4. Create receiver within the line of sight of the transmitter. (it shoots in the direction the hole faces)
5. Attach redstone to receiver
6. Make trail of redstone to a door or whatever.
7. Flip switch from step 1.
Transmitters and receivers need to be placed like 3 blocks apart.
Tripwire, rope, turret, and pitfall all work for me. Tripwire looks like planks in inventory, and on ground, turns black when more then one is place, and looks like unactive wire when active. But i understand that you are working on all of this...unless you updated, and i missed it.

The one I tried was the robe one, and its a good idea, but way to hard to use. I keep falling off, I could make it go fare..

And the rope takes some getting used to, but once you use it for a little while it becomes really handy.

Wow, total facepalm. I was looking everywhere for mod like your Glass Light mod. I never found it, so I tried to make my own... Yeah, my results are very, VERY mixed. Love your mods by the way. Would you mind if I fiddled with your code for personal uses (so I know how stupid I was lol). I used trap door for a little while too. How did I not SEE that mod... ... Oh well, you are a better coder than I will ever be, and keep up the good work (which is totally awesome)

Okay first of all i have modloader 5 and i have rope,turret,trapdoor,the cannon powder and also pitfall all installed, also i have rpg characters minecolony and a few others i can't name off the top of my head, my game works, no black screen and any of that, i also have planes ,fancypack. It all works, you must have just installed incorrectly.

Anyways, I'm just here to compliment you on your modding. You do by far the most useful mods that I've seen so far.
Nothing too HOLY HELL AMAZING, but then again, the small stuff is usually what counts the most.

Eep! Good catch! I fixed the download and removed the sp.class. Do you know what sp.class is? When I obfuscate using mcp it gives me sp.class as well, so I thought I had to include it. But I removed it from the zip and used the modloader sp.class and everything still worked. I'm gonna need someone to confirm that the mod still works now.
Btw, good work on that snow mod. I was thinking about looking into how to bring back snow, but you already did. :biggrin.gif:

Yeah I try to keep my mods within a certain realm of complexity. I feel like anything overboard wouldn't fit with my own personal vision of minecraft. Thank you. :]

F*ck... Lol sry I was actually wrong, and the sp.class modify didn't cause the error. Instead, this mod seems like it isn't compatible with IndustrialCraft. It works fine with any other mod (I mean, minecraft still boots up, haven't run an actual world yet :S). Sorry that I made that mistake, I already edited my previous post btw. Can you make it compatible with IndustrialCraft please? I think there must be a blockID the same or so, I'll try and find it.
