I'd love to see a "Piercing Cannonball" too, probally by crafting 8 arrows around a cannonball, and then it could fly through a maximum of 10 blocks.

i have been waiting for it ever since u annouinced it and i really want it because i am building a aircraft carrier and it need a defence and i wanted to use that for a defence since TNT cannon are too big
Just tried this mod out this weekend, and I have to say, I'm rather impressed with the rope mod. It's especially nice with the boomerang mod, being able to retrieve your rope if you need to break it for any reason (in my case, it was to lower me into an active dungeon, which I use for farming =p).
The only thing even semi-negative I could say about it is that it seems like a LOT of rope for a resource that I, personally, get like water (seriously, I usually get stacks of the threads that just rot). While, in my greed, I rather enjoy the amount of rope I get for such easy pickings, I think for balance sakes the recipe should be either doubled, or the return be halved. The only reason I say that is just because, with this mod, I see myself using rope in almost every situation, rather than ladders, just because the cost for ladders are much more expensive than the ropes.
All in all, great mod, though. I still need to try out the trapdoors, when I can.
Your mods are most useful I've seen here. I love that rope mod but I think it still needs a lot of adjusting.
It would be cool that when you place the rope if automatically goes down (with somekind of animation maybe) and when removing the rope you don't have to collect the pieces.

Unfortunately I'd have to rewrite large parts of the lighting system to get colored lights to work. Someone already accomplished that with colored torches, so I'm not really going to go there.

These are good ideas, I'll try to get them in. If you look closely in the video, the cannonball goes through two blocks.

Good news, I've jumped some major hurdles for the turret. I had to learn a lot more about modloader since I'm changing many more areas than before. Previously, I've only had to modify blocks. This time I had to look into entities, items, tileentities, model files, render files, and blocks. This is why it took so much longer, I got lazy and didn't want to figure all of those things out. But now that I've done all that, I should be able to release in a few hours.
I built a Turret and it turns fine, but it won't fire. I have tried different types of ammo, but still, it won't fire. I have MANY other mods, so it may be just a conflict, but I'm not totally sure about it. Is anyone else having this trouble?? And thank for making so many great mods!

Same here .. Builds great and even turns a little when plugged into redstone.. :sad.gif: is it just a button config thing? i too have lots of mods installed

If you got the airship installed you'll have to change the ascend key to something other than space in the airship.properties file so it wont overwrite the fire control for the turret. If you don't have the Steampunk Airship installed then it must be some other mod that also uses space key that is overwriting the turret one.
Hope that helps some of you.

Nevermind. I was wrong. I was using a minecraft.jar that I use as a testing base. When I tried it with the one I actually play on, no dice on the shooting :/

it doesnt shoot for me aswell i had SDK's Guns installed then i got a new jar and it still wont shoot
