Alright, this is my first mod here, and I know it will be one that some will like.
So... Do you have problems like I do with lag that comes from the trees? Well, with this mod, that problem will be forever gone. To keep things short and simple, here is the mod.
Decaying leaves = Lag to Low level'd pc's (like 1Gb ram netbooks), with this mod, it will disable decaying leaves, giving you a better frame rate again. (but I still also suggest getting Optimine to also maximize your game play)
uhh, it removes the decaying of leaves so leaves are left up there?
um... Yes. The decaying leaves causes lag to lower level systems. It pretty much reverts it to the alpha version 1.2.6 trees to prevent lag. But you still get different tree types. Try to go to a forest with a 1 GB ram laptop without this mod, your frame rate almost dies to 0FPS at almost all times. (0-3FPS tops)
Another way to prevent the leaf decay lag is to have all the leaves decay instantly.

Well I'm not worried who in all uses it. It's for anyone that needs it. When you have lag like I do, you'll be willing to do alot to get to play minecraft lol.

i didnt mean it like that. but i would enjoy faster decaying, i dont have lag issues, but itd be nice :tongue.gif:

but in all seriousness, I'm not a legendary java coder. I'm still learning things myself. I just figured a good start by something simple as in this.
I will try to implement a modded decaying leaves to just make things faster. I just need to learn a few new things lol.

So why make it lag? It takes the fun away. I'm looking for a few methods to improve the frame rate any chance I see sight of. (and anything that I can code by lol.) and thank you XN96 for the pics. That will come very use. And I'm glad your frame rate is much better now.

The mod does conflict with this mod and more ID's so ill be fixing it where it supports both correctly.

Who even has 1gig of ram anyway? Every PC I've ever owned has had at least 15 gigs I think. So, no offense, but all this does is make worlds look ugly again. But it would be good for building giant trees, so you don havt to build branches.

Then again I'm pretty sure my Mobo only supports 12. God damnit!
I'm going to use this mod momentarily, but I would really really love to see this mod make it so that when you break block 17 (wood) it checks for leaves and instantly decays them. That would be the best....

* Better Frame rate - your FPS levels WILL go up. That is a promise.
Downsides:
* Decaying leaves is now disabled (so they will be floating in the air like alpha 1.2.6)
