You know how whenever you finish downloading a file in Chrome, the file is at the bottom of the browser screen? I click on the file, and it opens up in winrar, so I can see the files within the file without extracting it. I go to the correct coremods folder, and I can see the .jar file. But, when I click on the .jar file to extract it, instead of extracting the .jar file, a dialogue box comes up telling me that there is no file to extract. It works fine with other mods, but with this one, for some odd reason, it does not.
Edit: KIDJFLAKDSHG FNAHDJFLJHASDKFJ IT WORKS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I reinstalled it, and wallah! Thank you lots VorTr3x!! <3<3<3(no homo)
After installing this, the game always registers current light (bl) level at 0 except when I'm holding a torch or something that glows, then it tells me the items glow level.
Is this a bug, or a limitation/necessity for this mod to do to work right? Cause I have another mod that lists what light level is at your current location and now its useless. XD Makes it hard to check if I've lit an area enough to keep stuff from spawning.
That does sound like an unintended interaction. Though Dynamic Lights doesn't break light in the players location...
1.1.9
- update to MC 1.5.2
It's not as much as an interaction between mods, cause it changes the (bl) on the F3 screen to 0 as well.
Don't suppose there's any chance that can be fixed?
EDIT : I was able to get "InGameInfo" mod to display the light level, but I had to change the light level it checked from <lightatfeetwithoutsun> to <lightatfeet> in InGameInfo mod. So anyone else who uses that mod can do this as well.
hey Atomic i dont know if ur still checking this but i have a mod idea
say something if u check it plz, i love ur mods and it seems to complicated for people that are just sort of starting code, but ur awesome so...

I've run into something similar. Not identical.
Bl -- "burn light", or torch lighting -- is reported accurately to other client mods for me, except when I have a dynamic light. Then, the bl value is the dynamic light value.
The mods I have this issue with are Light Level Overlay, and What's My Light Level. Both show the light level used for client-side rendering, not the server's mob-spawning level.
The work around, for me: Disable DL when I want to check the lighting of an area.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
I REALLY like posts like this..... NOT
How about posting HOW you fixed it, just in case someone ELSE has a similar problem
It means he found the error he did in his installation which got logged and fixed it, and does no longer insist it's my error
I prefer his kind, really
IS there any installation video? I tried putting all the Dynamic Lights into the minecraft.jar but it didn't work. I tried putting it into the mods folder in .minecraft but it didn't work. Nothing works!
hey atomic when ever i drop a torch it does not light up the are aaround it only when in hand i would like to be able to drop a torch down a hole like a real torch would so it will light up the fall
haha sure thing XD
