I'm using the Magic Launcher (made by the creator of OptiFine) and I can't seem to get Dynamic Lights to work with it. Dynamic Lights was working perfectly fine before I started to use the launcher, and I've tried both the MCPatcher OptiFine version method and non-MCPatcher method but it simply doesn't show up in game. I'm not exactly sure what could be going on because I don't ever crash or get an error report, my game just acts like I never downloaded Dynamic Lights. >.>
Does anyone know if this mod incompatible with Magic Launcher or if I'm just missing something? xP
Optifine doesnt have a "patch" for Dynamic Lights, every version of Optifine is compatible by default. As for MineAndBlade, he obviously uses some sort of Hack, that failed in your instance.
Since the Dynamic Light code he is hacking didn't change (there has been only very minor changes) i think you just screwed up installing, probably neglecting his instructions.
no, I installed it correctly. All it said was: drag to minecraft.jar. I installed it via mcpatcher by making it a higher priority than DL Optifine version
EDIT: Why did he have to make the Mine and Blade mod a modloader installation? PS I found out what was wrong: I accidentally included everything in the zip and mcpatcher kept all the important stuff in the folder. Basically, I installed incorrectly, again.
I installed it how you said - unzipped it into .minecraft, ran M.C. patcher, clicked Dynamic Lights, and it worked. But...
MY PLAYER IS GLOWING!!!
Any1 else got this? Current Minecraft version is 1.2.3.
Oh, and apple fritters?
It's not the armor/armour.
I was looking for more help on the Mine And Blade page and Nerboy told me that I would have to install via modloader or just click-and-drag which makes using MCPatcher completely obsolete.
MagicLauncher gives me errors on OptiFine when used at the same time as MCPatcher. I didn't test it yet because i had no reason to use MCPatcher at the same time as OptiFine before this mod. Anybody has done testing and can say if it's safe to have both on at the same time even with Magic Laucher saying there are errors?
Would any of you guys know why dynamic lights would be incompatible with a map generator called wedge? If I install DynamicLights, then wedge, the first just doesn't show up. While if I install wedge first, then dynamic lights, wedge doesnt show up. Any tips?
Can you update this so it can work in Magic Launcher? The non-mcpatcher version doesn't work with it.

If it doesn't, it's Magic Launchers fault. Or more probably, a user error by you. Magic Launcher probably expects the jar mod files in a seperate zip file, which means you need to take the files from the "put in jar" folder and zip em.
I've had that myself once in the past days ... ask the Optifine author to perhaps take a look, maybe his Dynamic Lights compatibility call isnt executed every updaterender anymore
- install all your mods
- install Optifine
- install Dynamic Lights (mcpatcher Optifine version) through mcpatcher
I have done this, and get Light cache full error, what's up with it?

So if I just temporarily move my 1.2.3 minecraft.jar into the default location and patch it, Dynamic Lighting will show up in MCPatcher?
Also please reply about a non-MCPatcher* (typo'd in my original query) version of this mod.
Edit: Ah that worked wonderfully. A tedious workaround but got the job done.

EDIT: It's probably because optifine isn't fully updated. :L
As seem on the first post. There's a separed modloader version but it has not been converted to 1.2.3 yet.
