I haven't really seen anyone messing around with these so I whipped out Audacity and went to http://www.freesound.org to mix some cool sounding .ogg up.
It basically gives you some dripping and wind cave sounds instead of the that-should-not-come-from-a-cave sounds
[center]This will only work with the Audio mod installed. Otherwise it will just reset the sounds.
Audio mod = "Sound Mod Enabler v5 (Beta 1.4_01)" (Whatever the newest version is.)

[center]I'm thinking "stone + low light level = cave sounds" type of mod... Anyone care to help?

Yeah, it sounds perfect.
The only issue I have is the time intervals. There must be a way to make the sounds nearly constant instead of like once per hour :tongue.gif:
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Noob: The day when aaallllll the hovering cubes of dirt fall into the farm animal infested ocean, will be the day I finally work up the nerve to go into that portal to the Nethe-
great mod, but sounds are too few n far between, if the preview one was constant when in a near dark enough cave it would be awesome!
is that possible?
I could make the ones you hear last but if you leave a cave or are standing outside you would still hear it continuing. I just changed the sound files around.

There probably is. I know nothing about coding so you got me there. Maybe someone with coding experience wants to work with me I'll give him the sounds. For now if you want, I'll make something a little longer to help everyone keep that immersion. Maybe 2-5 minutes of dripping? LOL Don't want to make you guys need to use the bathroom more often!

THANK YOU THANK YOU VERY MUCH! i stop playing minecraft with the vanilla ambience
I've turned my MUSIC off because of this too. Now I get to hear the sunrise again! Music really does make the world go round.. Or at least helps it up in the morning with a cup-a-joe!
The best part of waking up, is IN YOUR CUP!
Found this post from a link in reddit from a cached copy of r/minecraft lol...
Nice, love the preview sound, would be a great addition to the game if there we're a mod that allows more freedom in how sound plays (frequency, loopability, blending noises as you enter/leave cave).... A mod I would love to take a crack at but I really don't have the time, hopefully someone else tackles the idea :biggrin.gif:
Huh... is this mod complete? Or am i just putting it in the wrong place? I put it in the Ambience file and all Minecraft did was put vanilla ambience back.

You are probably putting it in the right place, but as the first post states:

Thanks guys! Hehe quick responses!
Understandable. The high pitched one just make me jump and the others just don't seem to fit.

Oh god not more creepy sounds...Wait, this is more realistic sounds since it's coming from a cave?! Aweshome!
Even though they are all realistic some of them actually sound pretty creepy lol non-intentionally of course.
Glad I could oblige. just call me your sound genie!
