Some ideas:
Potatoes - A chance of finding seeds when digging dirt, grows like wheat.
Carrots - Found and grown much like peppers. (Bunnies mod, anyone?)
More Mushrooms - Some mushrooms that can grow on the bark of a tree, used to make soups.
Deadly Peppers - A deadly pepper that is extreamly hot, found like normal peppers... but in the nether on soul sand! When dispensed or fed to a mob, they catch on fire!
Lettuce - Found like peppers and farmed the same, can be used to make salads out of apples, pineaples and other foods.
>Potatoes- Yes. Totally!
>Carrots- Heck yes. (Actually requested by DrZhark Himself)
>Mo' Mushrooms- Heck yes x2 - Ill start on some sprites now.
>Deadly Peppers- OMG YES! (the original idea for peppers was to cause fire damage if the user didn't cut the pepper.)
>Lettuce- That's actually a very good idea. I would love for there to be more food found on the ground, rather than trees.
You my man, have some very good ideas. Don't stop!
Thanks! Here are some more:
Grapes - Can be found in both red and green and like peppers, they are found on the ground and can be farmed. Either eaten as they are or a possibilty of wine?
Tomatoes - Used in some salads.
Peaches - A fruit found in hot biomes on trees.
A extreamly rare golden apple tree? - 1/100 chance of finding one, takes a while to bare fruit.
Corn - Vast fields of corn!
Underwater blue mushroom (for Mo' Mushrooms) - Found underwater and can be used to replenish your air fully when eaten.
Awesome! Thank you!

How would you go about finding corn and stuff? Just randomly or digging for seeds?
I really like the underwater mushroom. Would be a great idea, but super rare to find them so you cant just dive all day long.

Corn could be found like you find wheat, not sure on the chances of getting them. And about the blue mushrooms, they should be as common as normal mushrooms on the surface, but a bit rarer, and come in patches of 1-5. But that's what I think.
It's all good ideas! Now its just up to implementing them, and the order of importantce. We've got a big list and are going to release 10 new items by next saturday.
Golden apple trees/ slices would be cool
Grapes could be turned into wine and jelly
peanuts for peanut butter and maybe to lure or aggrovate animals
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
underwater mushrooms should give off a faint glow

I have alot of mods so I thought I would crash on like the 3rd one but I didnt but when I peeled the banana and it made my game freeze and crash. here is a image of the crash with me not acting like a 7yr old editing it to look "silly" (Scarcasm) http://img594.imageshack.us/f/rant2.jpg/ so I wont upeel ur banna but u can suck mine.
Jk, I love this mod but I want to know why I crashed plz, but if u want to you can still suck my banana, lol
I love the mod, and I especially love the way you integrated the fruit with the already existing trees. I also love the fact that it works (almost)flawlessly with xie's farming mod, and drzharks farmcraft, as well as with the sapling variety mod. Keep up the good work!
also, I am currently throwing together some 32x32 icons for the mods. here are a couple i've finished if you are interested.
I get a crash whenever I try to peel a banana however, here is the error:

Nice mod but pineapples grow in the ground. Perhaps some kind of grass/plant looking block which a pineapple block in the ground below it would be better. Requirement for placement 2 deep of dirt with an air block above it. This way the pinapple would replace the top layer of dirt, it's leaves would appear on the surface in the air and the pineapple would have dirt under it.
This looks awesome. Can't wait to see what the future holds.
Also, on a side note, will you be doing ONLY fruits and vegetables, and things you can make from them, or are you going to add other food items?
I was thinking about popcorn. The seeds would be found from corn if you added it. Stick the seeds in a furnace, and you get a popcorn seed. Put 6 popcorn seeds with a bowl in the bottom and stick it in a furnace, and you get a popcorn bowl. :smile.gif:

No, we will not only be doing fruits and vegetables ("Mo' Foodz"!). We appreciate and consider all ideas, so thank you.

Awwwww yea, now that's what I call an update! =) keep up the great work.
Heck yea man. Wait till this saturday. Gonna blow your mind to bits!
Lol, then I can't wait for Saturday!
On a somewhat more practical note, however, I just have one criticism for the update. In and of itself, it's excellent, there don't seem to be any major problems and the textures seem just fine. However, implementing the new physical blocks for the fruit does cause a few ID conflicts. Now, that's not anything intrinsically bad, since there's only so much a modder can do about that, but I just figured it would be constructive to note that mods such as Risugami's Floodgate and light sensor mod, as well as the bookshelf mechanism mod have conflicting ID's.
Personally, I'd rather use this mod than either the bookshelf or light sensor mod, but the floodgate mod..... weelllll, that one's just a personal favorite =( But that's not stopping me from using this mod, of course. So, I'm not really demanding any sort of compatibility, I just figured you would like to know what conflicts do exist.
On a lighter note, I can't wait till Saturday! Keep up the good work!

If you want to, you can download the mod which is zipped in a .rar, then just open it, dont extract, and view the readme.txt and see if it conflicts.
We'll fix them if it does.
