Beta 1.3_01 compatible
Requirements:
Modloader 1.3_01v4 OR v5
partly updated the TeledahnMod (+ always daytime) mod, this now fully compatible mod makes the sun go from sunrise to sunset, then straight back to sunrise, which is what a lot of people wanted.
Features:
Has no fuse like the TNT does, detonates almost instantly.
if someone sneaks while walking over the land mine, It wont set it of (INTENTIONAL).
Biome compatible, will change to the correct color of grass when placed on grass.
Bugs:
Wont detonate 100% of the time, best to place a block of 2 or more.
when placed over grass or leafs, every side changes color, cannot be fixed without changing the renderblocks class.
looks like stone, will fix that later, but I think it looks good like that >->

Makes noteblocks change what sound is played with ANY type of material that is under it.
Features:
Currently supports up to 12 sounds, one for each placeable material that wont be easily destroyed or cause problems, but if changed around it CAN support up to 256 sounds, one for each individual block ID when combined with More Block IDs.
Air is harp, Rock is bd, Sand is snare, Glass is hat, Wood is bassattack, Clay is pling(an un"muted" version of harp), Pumpkin is bass(same as bassattack), Cloth is pling, Iron is pling, Ground is pling, Built Snow is pling, and Sponge is pling.
Bugs:
As you can see, I need 5 more sounds, any suggestions or sound clips anyone can give me will help, sounds SHOULD be in .ogg format.

Anyways, I do agree with jackmccare's idea on how the tank should be made. I mean, a tank will be pretty strong, so it should be hard to make. Also, the body could be a bit bigger/wider, right now the body seems a bit small compared to the turret when looking at real tanks. But other then that, great job, I'll try out the version you have up now when I get the chance.

Nice, though you forgot to leave a way to see where you're going. Maybe just a small slot in the front of the turret?

Just have it lock where it's going to shoot to the middle crosshairs for the player. As for shooting, have the jump key fire. You can borrow a bit of SDK's rocket launcher code for the projectile, needing rockets in your inventory to fire.

Anyways, thank you for the suggestions and ideas everyone, and I will be implementing jackmccare's idea for the different parts, then make it so that if the tank breaks, you only get one random part back. That way people cant break your tank then immediately use it on you again.
Another idea that I had in mind was making different colored tanks, but that is being held off until after I get the rainbow bed mod I'm working on done, and after I start working on a server, IF AT ALL.
I am now working on getting the tank to shoot, and I already have a plan on making the bullet like this :

Now as for the texture made by dorian858, I haven't worked on positioning the texture placements for the turret, so once I get that done I would like it if he or someone else made some good textures, maybe different kinds like winter camo and desert camo.
OH, and the things on the back are supposed to be smokestacks, I just havent set them up to spawn smoke particals when someone is riding in the tank....

Also Scotty does know has gotten over the jittery problem you have. You may want to ask him how he did it with his turrets.
