Think you could add a way to actually befriend with your little companion? Being ditched for a queen is pretty rough, and it would be nice if you could apologize if you accidentally hit her. But it's your mod, so it's your choice. Either way, I like it!
I just want to report that I encountered a fairy queen and her posse by an above-ground lava fall while out adventuring with Charlotte and my Catgirl in tow. I decided I wanted that golden apple and stood back with my bow and laid some fire into her. They started swarming and Charlotte and Catgirl charged forward, with catgirl knocking 2 of them into the lava and Charlotte felled the queen as I delt with a sneaky fairy that ran up and jacked my bow and backed me into a corner till I could get my sword out.
Badass mod man, one of the funnest fights I've had while out exploring.
Just an idea for reference.Don't take it too seriously anyway.
This mob could added as the protector of the fairy (although they may don't need this big guy to protect them at all for they are really powerful indeed.)and the forest they lived. Maybe in the night, he would provide some shelter in his leaves for fairies to live. In the daytime, he become the playground for fairies, they may make a circle and dance around him. In battle, he could be healed by the fairy around him and become raged when he see his dear fairies fellow being murdered.Or could be the queen's last resort when she is under the great danger, she would turn some tree nearby into these big guys to protect her. That's all I could think for now.
And once again, thanks for your good works. Good job!
Your mods are fantastic Kodaichi. You always take that extra step to make them truly creative; for instance, having the fairies attack by lifting their enemies into the air and dropping them. Genius. XD
(I love the little humming noises they make as well.)

Does this work with the more creatures mod and the humans mod?
Yup, it certainly does! It's funny when you have DrZhark's Farmcraft installed too, because apparently the fairies will even ride the baby chickens as well:

how do i delete them?
Click the "Edit" button on your posts, then tick the box next to "Delete post" and press "Submit."
I think the lifting you up in the air dropping you sounds pretty awesome, but one single fairy being capable of that sounds a bit imbalanced.
Perhaps one single fairy could lift you at the rate of 1/10th block per second, and the more there are the faster it goes?
Also, if you ever decide that the queen can be befriended with something like huge amounts of diamond, gold, etc.
Then perhaps she could drop real fairy dusts that you can use to fly? (peter pan style, lol)
And, instead of fairies spawning flowers when they appear, why not have them spawn tiny houses? Or something like mushroom houses? Not sure what fairies live in but it would be awesome to see a fairy village with the queen having a small castle or something requiring a 3x3x3 spawn area.
edit: Another idea, what if fairies would generate houses in trees? Like replacing a tree block with a new tree block that has a hole in it, perhaps some sort of tiny windows on the sides and a door, making it look like a house?
Of course, trying to tear down the tree would make the fairy living there furious.
1 - How is one fairy lifting imbalanced? You can one-hit kill a fairy with a rock sword and anything less than that has a high chance of making them lose their grip. You can't tell me something is balanced or not unless you actually try it for yourself.
2 - The Queen was made the way she is on purpose. She is cruel, selfish, and an overall pain in the ass, not to mention incredibly dangerous. Nothing less than that would jusify the golden apple she drops, and I'm not gonna change it.
3 - There's barely any room in forests for buildings to spawn, so they would need to be tree houses --- but even then, it's impossible for fairies to tell if the player is destroying their house because blocks don't save a reference to who destroyed it. Fairies are wanderers, If you want a mob that has a village mentality then go get the Builders.
EDIT: Don't take it personally, it's just that you're asking for a lot more than you think.
Me and these fairies? Bros for life.
Beautiful work as always.
I'm fairly motivated to build a terrarium so I can hunt them for light-stone without the danger of being murdered horrifically. A much safer option than being out into the nether for the stuff... o n o
