They are working on this as quick as possible, these updates only keep coming (not a bad thing for normal players, but these are mod breakers after all) and this time it was so fast, that when they got the 1.401 version ready it got to 1,501 and now they're working onto it.
i have btea 1.3_0.1-more block ids+-and modloader5-winrar-7-zip...every time i put the stuff into the minecraft.jar the open minecraft.........BLACK SCREEN.......what am i doing wrong
Wool to string:
wool x 1 = string x 1
wool x 4 = string x 4
wool x 9 - string x 10 (bonus when using a workbench)
String to wool:
string x 2 (shapeless) = wool x 1
string x 4 = wool x 2
string x 9 = wool x 5 (bonus when using a workbench, overwrites vanilla wool crafting recipe)
No. Wool has no functional purpose and is incredibly common and easy to gather. String is needed for both bows and fishing rods (and with this mod, also grenades) that make string incredibly valuable.
A far more balanced recipe would be that a single string can generate 3-4 wool (remember, this is a big spider) and it would take 9 wool, all of which would have to specifically be WHITE wool and not any other color) to reform a piece of string. That level of rarity would just about balance out how much easier it is to gather wool from sheep than it is to fight spiders before you get a bow and arrow.
Wait... you're saying that getting string to make a bow (which is essentially a one-off make-and-keep thing after you've killed just two to four spiders) from wool is less balanced than a ranged boomerang made out of one plank and two sticks that can also be used to retrieve items and although it does eventually break it still lasts for several uses? Not that you can cut the sarcasm with a knife or anything, but I find this quite perplexing.

You know, it occurs to me that the French are, in general, a highly melancholy people. On every street they rue something.

I dont Quite see the glowstone sand, it looks like a sponge ( ) is it different in game???
I've actually recently updated to the texture, but haven't had a chance to update the post to reflect that. you can see it's new appearance over at the New Nether
General douchebaggery and assery aside (I've learned to expect that from most of the fans in this thread), that makes much more sense now. The AdventureCraft/Peronix boomerang does cause damage, albeit a very low amount, and since I felt that the 2x2 version was too cheap and unbalanced at two planks and a stick I assumed it had the same behaviour rather than testing it. (The original post, although it mentions "shearing sheep", doesn't explicitly mention it causes no damage. A 1-point hit (0.5 hearts) can shear sheep too.)

lol, sorry man, just couldn't help ribbing you about it, especially since there was one guy who was complaining that the boomerang recipe didn't work because he was replacing the planks with other material instead of the stick portion of the recipe.

I suppose I could have made it more explicit, but if you pay attention, you'd notice that while all the other hand tools describe the damage they do by comparing them to full tools, the boomerang is only compared to snowballs, which do no damage, and there is no reference made to them doing any damage at all.
I'd get it if I didn't have to waste time crafting a hatchet or axe to chop down a tree.
Buuut, you're fine wasting time crafting the wooden pickaxe to get some cobblestone...
It's quicker to make a pickaxe than a hatchet with this mod, at least with my luck; I only get 1-2 saplings per normal-sized tree most of the time. Maybe I should rethink this...

I can't find it in the OP but Grey already accounted for this by increasing the drop rate for Saplings.
awesome idea. Especially the stained glass idea! It would be cool to have my castle with a one way stained glass window that makes the floor look purple. You could make a "disco ball (block?)" by crafting like this.
so there would be a disco block that shined blue indigo violet turquise yellow red teal purple orange! It woudlnt shine any other colors though...
Hey, 1st off, AMAZING mod, I have not yet tried it (problems with installing) but I like it anyway.
Back to the installation problem...
I tried installing 2 ways (both with a clean minecraft jar)
1
Install the ID+ mod (using the modloader's mods folder)
install the zip of the main plugin (using the mods folder)
2
ID+ using Mods folder
Install zip by dragging and dropping its entire content into the minecraft.jar (using winrar)
1 gives me a black screen --> Minecraft has crashed and before i can read the text there minecraft exits.
YES, I am using the newest modloader
YES, I am using the newest version of your plugin (the one which needs the ID+ stuff)
NO, I have no clue what i have done wrong, both process 1 and 2 work fine with other mods!
2 gives me a black screen and nothing else (waited 5 minutes and ran out of patience).
Lol, what is the wool block suposed to be? stained ice? ice? snow? or a snow ball? now it looks more like a brush to me.
rule #1: Never eat yellow snow.

Well, unless you are trying to install to a clean 1.3.01 minecraft.jar file, and you're using Modloader 5, you're not going to accomplish anything. Yofreke is still working on getting things updated to 1.5.01, but there are no guarantees he'll be able to finish before 1.6 comes out.
Most of the progress on this mod now depends on what Notch does. If he releases a bunch of heavy updates all close together, then it pushes back the progress of the mod. Notch did announce the plans for official modding support that should give us access to source code as it's being updated that should be a huge boost to mod development speed, but in the meantime the process is pretty slow going.

But boomerangs do no damage

Well there's you problem, the newest version of modloader obviously isn't going to work for V1.3_01 Minecraft is it?
