I was looking over the compatibility list for this mod and was wondering if there were any issues with Mixcraft?
( viewtopic.php?f=25&t=31331 ) I wouldn't think there was, as I have used these together for a while now and love both, but just wondering. Thanks for a great mod!
When did the Satchel get reduced to 3 slots instead of 4?
that happened during my updates to the backpack ideas that I still haven't updated the Expanded Inventory thread with.

Until we can get 2x2 updated to 1.4, there wont really be any way to be certain what it's compatible with, especially considering ll the additional content being introduced in this update.
I feel like this makes the game too easy, like playing on peaceful or something, it just shouldn't exist.
You feel like it makes the game easier because the player has more options in order to strategically use the resources they gather. It is possible that it does make the game easier, but this can be balanced through things like making the enemies more intelligent, or adding a timer to the crafting process so that it works like a furnace; some items could even take longer than others, and the 2x2 crafting process could require the player to not be interrupted without losing the material being crafted, whereas the 2x2 crafting grid could preserve the crafting progress.
Ultimately, the important thing is to make the game difficult by possessing challenging scenarios, not by hobbling the player. Even walking can be made challenging by shackling weights to your legs, but that doesn't make it fun.

This is exactly what your mod does.
Making people actually WALK, instead of being tied to a segway, isn't the same thing as shackling weights to your legs.
Actually that analogy works really well, as when you shackle weights, you limit options by reducing abilities to below standard, but when you take away people's segways, you are are reducing abilities TO standard, and while it does make the act of specifically walking harder, it actually INCREASES options (you can't climb or jump while on a segway)
Likewise, needing an axe to cut a tree is a completely normal expectation, so it's not really bringing you below standard, but to it, and by implementing it the options the player has to break up the routine of starting out actually INCREASE.
Drawing the analogy even further, of course someone who isn't physically fit and(okay, cheap shot :tongue.gif:) has come to rely on the segway isn't going to like the idea of not being able to use it, and will attempt to argue and generally raise a fuss trying to convince people that everyone wants to keep them.
I am also waiting for update, because i didnt had chance to play it on 1.3 version.
Well i downloaded it, i think it was working - i got ammunition and shield gui, but my camera got broken. Maybe its because of +ID, or this mod. dunno. My camera was zooming each time i was moving my mouse. I needed to reinstall Minecraft.
So keep going with update and ill be your slave.
:*
Dude wait I can fix GUI API it did a April fools joke to screw up your camera just update your GUI API hope it helps.
Please ignore the rabble...a vast unposting majority love this mod and agree that getting neatly cut wood by punching a f'cking tree makes no sense, unless you are notch and low on time.
for you. 1.4 soon, we hope.

{Cutting analogy that completely negates Neworm's arguments}
You fail at understanding that you just lengthen the already most boring part of game that is start. You force people to do boring thing like cutting down leaves just to even be able to do something sensible.
I'm not lengthening the process. If anything I'm widening it. The only reason the start of the game is so boring is due to the lack of options, ones that you keep specifically railing against.
Even the guy few post above with his survival setup had to place axe to his inventory at the start because getting your way is just too stupid.
The guy a few posts above also gives the player 2 bows, as if there's any reason that you'd lose one through any means other than dying.
*Everything except Satchels and Directional Markers have atleast some implementation*
*Finds out release was just before 1.4 and now doesn't work with the version I have*

Also Grey, seriously, ignore NeoTrollWorm (Sorry man, your it was your icon). He's hated this mod from the beginning.
Let the hater hate, and just talk to the new guys who come in with the typical question/comment.
It's still fun to correct him when he tries to assert an actual argument. I only ignore him when he gets more stupid than usual. In the meantime he's a useful strawman and helps keep the thread bumped.

This + the Miners mod + pet mod + craftizens mod + enough material to build a town = total win!
