Yeah; somebody mentioned it on the actual SPC thread. The mod's creator seems to have confirmed it also. You might want to review that thread's posts over the last week, since I think that's when confirmation was made.

Well, thing is, it apparently needs ModLoader 1.5.01 to work, but I can't find it anywhere... and I tried using ModLoader 1.6.6, but that doesn't work either. :<
I'm wondering if perhaps it's delayed because one of the old Fancypack blocks conflicts with one of the new 1.6.6 blocks, and Syrup doesn't realize it. It seems feasible to me, because the other day I was using MCedit, and it showed dead shrubs instead of chains in places where I had placed chains. I think MCedit works by reading the block ids, so I find it very probable that chains, at least, share the same block ids as the new dead shrubs.

I am so ready for this! I updated because I simply wanted to start playing multiplayer again and I was pleased to find that my world had not gotten messed up. Unfortunatly I forgot to delete a fancypack item from one of my chests. My valuable chest. The one chest that had all my diamonds, iron, coal, and lapiz. Now I need Fancypack to open this chest lol.
There reason why I mentioned Shockah working on the Aether. Just look at the FAQ! Syrup has probably given all the power, rights, property, etc. to Shockah! Shockah is working on a dimension more complicated than the Nether. Notch's "Sky Dimension" you ask? Probably uses a bit of the floating island map type from Indev.
You might have a legit point in there, but it sounds like schizophrenic **** to me.
Why in the **** would Syrup give rights of fancypack to shockah? And what does that have to do with the Aether being more complicated than a feature in vanilla and sky dimension?
Are you a troll confusing the **** out of people?
In my opinion, the cardinal sin of modding Minecraft is to create a mod that essentially locks you out of your world until you've updated the mod so that you don't lose anything, and then failing to update said mod.
I think whining, pestering, and making a huge deal about video game mods that have taken a few days too long to update is far worse.
It's not the end of the world. Mods often take time to update, especially when Notch throws out uncoordinated patches and gives little indication of additional changes -- even moreso when mods rely on third-party tools that also need to be updated before work can even begin. Updating a mod for the twentieth time is a tedious and frustrating experience with little reward. If you are so against having to wait for updates, stop using mods.

Vib and I have been looking to pass off the code so that the responsibility of updating every time Notch patches Minecraft will fall to someone else. We've just about finished what we want FancyPack to be, though we will be filtering it even further into more optional packs so that people can more precisely pick what they want to add, but other than that FancyPack is basically "done". We want to move on to other projects but constantly having to perform maintenance on these existing mods while fans impatiently demand there's no reason we should be doing anything but what they want us to do is an obstacle that must still be dealt with.
If we can find someone proficient enough and willing to maintain the code we'll certainly be passing off the responsibility of updates to that party.
Because we do not have the luxury of having Minecraft be the most important thing in our lives.

I'm sorry if my impatience is ruining your life, but I, and those who are relying on your mod, have been unable to update. And the update to this mod hasn't been days overdue, it's been weeks. Two weeks, roughly. Two weeks, unable to update or use multiplayer because this mod has been neglected. It's not like our complaining is affecting you but this mod not being updates is affecting us. Updating without this mod would mean trawling over potentially miles of land, replacing the empty holes left my Fancypack blocks with inferior default versions, a process that could take ages. And that just SSP. If its in multiplayer, loads of people could lose loads of work, having to fix every single build into which they incorporated Fancypack which, considering how all-around useful Fancypack is, is probably all of them.

No, quite the opposite. My point is that it's a rather small part of my life and there are many bigger and more important things to worry about. That's why I'm handling those things before I can spare the time to get around to updating this mod.
It seems as though your impatience is ruining your life, though.
I don't understand people like you who actually seem to think that writing something like that will make ChocolateySyrup (or anyone else) give you what you want...
I don't think that it will make Syrup give me what I want. I never did. But I've been very concerned over this mod, and I want that to be fully understood.

I've been talking with Syrup about the Fancy Pack and Stained Glass projects and if another person is needed to maintain those projects hopefully I'll get to take on that role. I've got *very unofficial* updates out there that I did without consulting Syrup in the first place, which isn't exactly the nicest thing to do... But like many of you I wanted to romp through my empty cities and mansions filled with blocky furniture. Luckily, Syrup seemed pretty cool about it and I've submitted my code for review. In the end it is totally up to ChocolateySyrup and if he doesn't want me to work on it, I won't. I did the conversion for my own use and thought it would get people of his back for a while. Some of you have been pretty understanding about the mod update process - most of us don't do it for cash or fame (lol) - we do it for the love of the game. Don't even get me started on all this Adfly business.
But I digress. Take a deep breath, fire up a new map and enjoy some of the many great mods out there. Or play vanilla for a while. I think we've all been spoiled by all of the options we had for 1.5 so it seems difficult to wait for those 1 or 2 mods that don't get updated.
I'm just happy to know that the mod shall update and hasn't simply been abandoned. In the mean time for everyone else, I suggest you just do what I do when a mod I use isn't up to date; update Minecraft and start a new world to have fun with. You CAN have more than one world, you know. Just back your save up first :tongue.gif:
I need help, i was using this mod and it was working perfectly until one day i went into minecraft and most textures of new items were messed up.Textures of the iron chain, cage, bone decorations, bone & paper lanterns are set to diffrent textures such as paper lantern being shown as a rose and iron chain being shown as a portal (the one used to go into the nether).I tried reinstalling it but no luck does anyone know a solution? (PS.I am still on 1.5 01 since the maker has not updated it yet)

It sounds like to me that you were using a diffrent texture pack and some dont always work with this mod including the hd ones but if thats not the problem i would have to say it is you terrain.png which is in your texture pack Good luck fixing it

Too bad it doesn't color light (or does it)
