could you make trees in the nether, like they do in the nethercraft mod
I totally approve of adding content to the Nether, since currently you only really go there to get glowstone, which you don't really need for anything anyway :tongue.gif: If I were to add Nether content though it'd be with a different mod. I don't feel that farming really has a place in the nether, and fruit trees would be a little out of place :tongue.gif:
Probably gonna take a look at this mod tomorrow. Pretty interested in it. Hope it's compatible with finite liquids!
One quick suggestion: A tractor. Powered with coal/charcoal it makes for fast movement over fields without disturbing crops.
It also could have attachments to the back for planting and harvesting large fields.

Yes you can have only watermelons, pumpkins and flowers if you want. Quoting Xie's earlier posts "After you've run the mod once you'll find it in /mods/Xie, called "farming.ini". If you don't want apple trees change their spawn chance to 0. If you don't want watermelons change their spawn chance to 0."

i dont mean like fruit trees i mean trees that dont burn or give off light like glowstone, but you would have to make them rare, i just think that would be cool :smile.gif:
Will water wash out crops and not produce any crops/seeds like wheat used to do? Or do they yield seeds even if they are washed out by water? Very important for me to know before I start building automatic harvesting systems.
Hey could you make this working the PremiumWood and NetherCraft - I don't beleive its the mods themselves.. As they require both Modloader and ScotTools API.
I tried installing just this mod on a clean save, it worked, i then tried adding mods one at a time. First the API.. i was stopped in my tracks.
So yeh... can ya make these mods work together?

So I managed to install FarmCraft with modloader & audio mod, but it doesn't seem compatible with any of the other mods I have such as PlasticCraft and BeeKeeper. I have minecraft Beta 1.6.6. on Windows 7. Any fix suggestions anyone?

Try opening up the config files. The problem probably lies with some conflicting id numbers.

So, I know i have asked this before but I haven't gotten a response yet... Have you thought about implementing (Japanese Sakura-Cherry Trees yet? Also a strawberry plant & grape vines would be Very nice!
I would love to have the ability to farm those but no other mods that add them allow you to farm them. Also I use your mod because its GREAT I don't want to add more because of possible conflicts.
Discovered that buildcraft works very nicely with this mod. No id conflicts for me, and my auto harvesting pumpkin, watermellon, and tree patches are doing quite nicely. Going to work on making a factory out of it so I can push some buttons in my house in the morning and serve myself up some breakfast. :laugh.gif:

I had planned to add flowering trees as a part of the mod, e.g. Jacarandas and cherry-blossoms, that would drop flowers. I agree it'd awesome. As for strawberries and grapes, they're both on the long list of things I'm going to add eventually. At this stage I'm trying to get the mechanics right, before I add scope. To be honest the code is in a frightful state atm and needs a serious overhaul! I'll get around to it, please be patient. Glad you like the mod :wink.gif:

Nice mod overall, but one thing buggs me. when you pour water on tomatos and/or cotton, they are destroyed with no drop. Did you mean this to happen? if so, could you make a version with cotton and tomatos that drop loot? if not, could you fix this? thanks! :laugh.gif:
What are the rules governing how corn can be grown? I have three rows of corn set up with water on each side. The corn with the water next to it all grows fine, but the middle row grows to a height of two before it mysteriously disappears. Anyone else encounter this?
Has anybody experienced compatibility conflicts with 1.6.6?
I was able to get the hunger mod working just fine... and things went all to hell with both the cooking mod and the farming mod.
The farming has some compatibility issues with NetherCraft. :sad.gif: two of my favorite mods don't work with each other. Do any of you guys want to give it a try at finding what isn't compatible? I've worked on it for about 2 hrs and I can't find what is wrong.
