First one: We could change into a creeper or into a miner just by pressing a button just like a werewolf :biggrin.gif:
second one: Make player mobs so that we can go and explode them and get their stuff that they mined or carry with them.

1. I've been thinking about this, but it's much harder than it sounds. The big problem is having pretty much two versions of AI for every mob, it'd be a pain. Not to mention I'd need to find a way to change the model dynamically, which I'm not sure is possible.

That's how normal creepers are. Haven't you ever been on a badly lagging server and pushed around a creeper? Their pivot is not at the body, it's connected to the air right above the leg.

I originally did that, but right now I'm using a modified version of Mr. okushama's Humans+ AI, so now instead`of wandering around they'll attack evil mobs.
The player creeper does not expand like the normal one. I can't find the function that makes the normal creeper do this. Just look into the rendercreeper class

I did, and found what looked like the suspect function, but adding it t my creeper didn't do anything. I'm going to revisit it later, but for now I figured I'd focus on adding the fun parts instead of eyecandy.

Well, I wouldn't consider it a rehash, as the spider one would be a stealth like thing, while the Gast, you're a giant floating marshmallow with tentacles that shoots fireballs! Who cares about what you're actually doing?!
Status Update! Major progress!
I made mobs friendly, able to follow you, and able to be toggled. Here's a video:
As you can see in the video, mobs do not follow you by default. Right-clicking them with a yellow flower puts them in follow mode. They will follow you until an enemy (in this video, a farm animal) gets in range, which will make them run off to attack it. They will then resume following you. Giving them a red flower will draw out their latent powers and crush their very faculties of reason- er, wrong game, it reverts them to wander mode. If you use a flower when a mob already has one you get the other flower refunded. Next I need to make them not despawn when in follow mode.

Haha, true. I have a bunch of ideas for mods after this one, but I'll see if I can at least squeeze in a YAtG mod somewhere. Maybe you have to turn Earth into the Nether by summoning other Ghasts and pigmen, fighting off miners and transporting Netherrack, soul sand and glowstone to build Hell on earth.
OK, I really want to install this, but I need somebody to tell me how to backup all this stuff. I want to have a creeper save and a Human (Normal) save, so someone tell me how to backup everything that needs to as well as how to install and uninstall this mod.
