I don't want to read the rest of the posts to know if this has been said, I'm just going to say it.
The Modloader version of this is compatible with every mod that I use, which is a lot of effing mods. it's compatible with 'Xau's HD texture patch', 'Better light'/'Better grass,' 'McRegion,' Zan's Minimap, and a ton of others. I know for a fact that the Non-Modloader version will not work with the HD texture fix, as they both edit the 'minecraft.class' file, though if you put this on first, and then patch, it MIGHT work. You'll have to test for yourselves.
And for the guy multiple posts ahead of me: you forgot to delete the 'META-INF' folder inside
minecraft.jar'.
So this still doesn't work with BetterLight? Because I would love it if it did. I don't like making choices =(
Have you tried the latest version? I was hoping it wouldn't conflict.
It doesn't conflict, it works fine. good job.
Edit: I've just thought of a way to make this less of a cheat, and more of a fair game addition. Since this is already compatible with modloader, seems it wouldn't be too hard to make a new item for the game. like goggles, obviously. :ohmy.gif: That when you wear them, it gives you the X-Ray vision. It'd be neat if you had to craft them on to an already existing helmet, but it would be right if they could be worn alone as well. Make sure the goggles are made of some pretty rare items, maybe some Lapis Lazuli? Or diamond, whichever. Redstone too. You could EVEN make a new... but that might be overkill, and it would make saves not really compatible with any other version of the game without this mod. :tongue.gif: I kind of liked the a previous posters idea of making it so you couldn't see absolutely all minerals as far as your render distance is set, a forced fog would be alright. You can PM me perhaps if you like this idea? :smile.gif:
Where:
= Lapis Lazuli Ore
= Redstone
Or something like that. Yes? :tongue.gif: That would be the goggles, that you then add to a helmet, or like I said before, you could just wear those alone, but you'd take a hit to defense.
I just wanted to say thanks for this mod...
I love how you made it find ANY ore blocks even ones added by other mods.
It helped me to debug and balance my world generation methods for my new ores.

I started poking around with a less cheap way to do this. If you look at the list of my mods, it's the ore finder one.
Ultimately, I don't think people want the fair way.
I thank you for your patiences, as i said before this mod is amazing and i downloaded the x-ray 7 version( latest version) , and it worked perfectly but i was wondering if you made the mod see wood, stairs, snow, leafs and ice. If so, then i have no further questions. This mod is amazing :smile.gif:

I made very few blocks explicitly invisible. You can add them to the blacklist if you want, the procedure is described in the readme.

K so i did everything you said, when i searched up the ID's for the blocks do i use, HEC or DEC values! haha...if you dont know what im talking about http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Data_values
EDIT: so i used some ID values and when i started playing all the things that i made invisible were invisible but everything else stayed the same so i have to put the ID value again for dirt and cobble in the Xray.txt folder
I just can't figure out how to make it work. I downloaded winRAR but when I try to move the files into the minecraft.jar it says "archive corrupt". I am really frustrated and can anyone help me?

3.open minecraft.jar with winRAR
4.delete META-INF folder
5.move all the files from X-ray 7
6.close everything and go play

Did u close minecraft when u were doing this?
yes I closed minecraft, but it still says the same thing over and over again! Should I uninstall/reinstall winRAR? I was using the 32bit.
So I downloaded version 7, and in looking at the files I have to question why minecraft.bin/net/minecraft/client/MineCraft.class needs to be modified. Curiously, my game started freezing on login. I hope you didn't just rob my login information. Anyone have a clean file that actually has the mod?
Okay, good deal. When I attempt to run Minecraft after installing the mod, it freezes during the game update after logging in. Removing the mod fixes this.

Don't know what to tell you. Did you delete the META-INF folder? Besides that there isn't much I can do without being able to diagnose it on your computer. It works fine on the few I have tried it on.
(BIG THUMBS DOWN!) This did not work. I put the files in, deleted the META-INF folder, did everything I had to do...BUT IT DID NOT WORK. When I pressed x, nothing happened! Maybe this will change. Nevermind, it worked now. Here, have a Notchwich! THis mod is awesome!

I tried the latest version, and it works, as in I press x and I see through stuff but then betterlight goes away /cry
I tried everything from uninstalling all my mods and reinstalling them one by one, nothing worked.
Are you saying that while in x-ray mode better light is turned off or that it disables better light for good?
