To be able to spawn colored wools, different types of wood, all the colors of dyes, and different saplings, you need a server plugin which alters the /give command to support damage. For instance, the Essentials plugin uses the /item {1}:{3} {2} syntax, with {3} being damage. There are other server mods which provide a similar effect. You need to get one of said mods, then modify the give-command line in Toomanyitems.txt to have the same syntax. The aforementioned items will appear in the spawning GUI, and the commands will work.
Thanks a bunch for this amazing mod, it is near flawless!
The only improvements I would bring to it are
1. Categorizing of items to make them easier to find
2. Pressing the left and right mouse buttons on next or previous scrolls through the pages (doing this means you won't have to move your mouse cursor up and down over the Prev and Next buttons)
I'd really appreciate if you'd implement these into a future update, especially the second one.

My theory is that dinosaurs are thin one one end, get much, much bigger in the middle, and are thin again on the other end. This is my theory, and it is mine.

Ok i fixed it now but don't have the mod still. at this point i've just given up. for anybody who has the same problem as i do, on the login screen click options, click force update, then click done, then login normally. it'll update, and minecraft will work again, though you won't get the mod. toefuzz out.

I can't believe I'm replying to you 3 times in the same post. Drag and drop .class files into minecraft.jar, delete META-INF, ensure you have no conflicting mods, run game. Simple.

The locked chest was an April Fool's Day joke by Mojang. Notch made them randomly spawn in new chunks on April Fool's Day. When you tried to open them it took you to a "store" where you could "buy" fake products for use in-game (like a spoof of the "hats" in TF2.)
A later update removed functionality from the locked chest blocks, but they remained as static objects that can't be interacted with. At the moment there's no way to open them or use them for anything besides static objects.
272 pages was tl;dr, but is there a reason why TMI doesnt show all the combined items in SMP? I have RedPower mod and most of the items are as such; 116-1 116-2, 116-3, etc. These wont show up. Thanks for the help and a great mod!

Its because they (the aether creators) put a restriction on what shows up for the too many items list. I think they said they will fix it in 1.2
Delete META-INF.
Ensure you have no other conflicting mods.
I'm not here 24/7. Do not get impatient. You only waited 30 minutes. I've waited for 3 months for things to come (Such as Mo' Creatures 1.5_01).
