These all look like some pretty cool mods, but does your custom sounds enabler add support for mp3s and other filetypes? It's no biggie for me if they can't, I've got a converter, but that would be totally convenient.
I'm about to run MC anyway and find out if they work, so if they do, maybe you should mention that in your first post, because that's a cool bit.
Nah, this mod doesn't do that, but check out Risugami's AudioMod for that. The two used in conjunction rock. :smile.gif:
Oh, those mods are compatible? Well, phooey! I thought they weren't. I'll do just that then, sir!

"Sound Mod Enabler" is probably not the best name for the mod. It only stops the stuff in resources/ from being overwritten. Which happens to be the only (easy) way to change the default sounds.

Wow I feel bad for not finding this before... great mods.
Is the optional update launcher a modded launcher or did you completely remake it? I've been trying to mod the launcher for ages...
It's a modified version of the default launcher.

Ya, like Sim_0's.
Well, I kind of like the way they are now. It allows you to build things like , for example. Someone suggested adding an option to change the TNT behavior. I'm not sure what I'll do right now though.
Some of the sounds I've chose cut out before it plays the entire clip. At first I wrote it off as unavoidable, since I saw a video someone put up on Youtube of the sounds they edited using a mod (I think yours). But after a while, I kept on thinking about it. So I was wondering, is it just as I originally thought?
If your wondering, the sounds that cut out before finishing are some of the sound clips I used to replace the skeleton's normal sounds. I used sound clips from South Park, and the skeleton in particular is now Cartman ("I'm not fat, I'm big boned").
Amazing job. If it was up to me, the optional update launcher would get stickied. I'm on mac, and it is a bit buggy at times, but it works. Thanks!
Can you be more specific about how it's buggy? I don't have a Mac to test it on, so I have no idea how well it works.

Ok nevermind. As soon as I install a mod it does not want to work :sad.gif:
Gets stuck on the mojang screen or the login screen.
If that happened after you installed another mod, then the problem is probably how you installed the other mod. If you still think it's the launcher, try launching Minecraft with the default launcher (make sure to make a backup of your jar file in case you're forced to upgrade) or try launching Minecraft with no mods installed.

I believe there is a limit to how long the sounds can be. I haven't done much testing so I'm not sure. When the sound cuts out do all the sounds stop working (until you restart Minecraft)?

does this work for SMP or does it only work for single player? It is really great mod to make a lot more automated machines using water :-D
I assume you're asking about the dispenser mod? Sorry, single player only. :sad.gif:
Timeframe till you update dispenser? I am waiting on it. Thanks for doing this.
It already works with 1.2_02, if that's what you mean. Nothing in the 1.2_02 update affected the dispensers so they didn't need to be updated. Either way, I updated the first post to make it more clear.
Hello, epinull! I would like to offer you a quick review.
Epinull's mods are those little tweaks Minecraft SHOULD have. It adds several things into the game that any minecrafter would know and enjoy.
The first of his mods is a tweak to Dispensers, making buckets and vehicles work by expelling them when the button is pressed, as well as the buckets able to act like a sluice gate and remove the water when the button is pressed again.
The second is a simple addition of the minecraft client. Until Notch updates the real client, this is a must have. It enables you to choose an update before it is applied, allowing you, instead of Notch, when to update your client. A must-have for all mod users until Notch fixes his client with this feature!
The third, final, but definately not least, is an oldie but goodie. This mod allows you to edit the files that minecraft draws its sound from. Not much of a mod you ask? Well, normally, Minecraft would perform a "ghost" update, replacing the files if you edit them. This workaround allows YOU to place songs into the game, whether it is the record's music, the background music, or anything you want.
This grouping of mods are utilities, yes, and even though I normally comment on mods that introduce things into the game, I had to comment on these. My overall score: a 9/10, which will get a perfect 10 as he creates more of these wonderful utilities.

Thanks for all of these mods. The optional update is awesome.

You, sir, are the best thing to happen to dispensers since dispensers. It's like you read my mind, then read my subconscious mind, then predicted what I'd want without me wanting it and packaged it in a neat little zip file.
No, he's the best thing that's happened to Minecraft since Dispensers.
Using the dispensers as sluice gates and cart delivery systems makes EVERYTHING a thousand percent better. If I could give you a or two I would, because you have more than earned it.
