If you have a PC, you likely just need to add Java to your path. To do that, you must follow the directions I posted a few posts back. It was that lengthy post involving adding an environment variable.
yeah I had to do this to get a few mods working, its not hard GL

Thank man but I can't understand where is this craftbukkik.jar!
I understand its difficult when working with a foreign operating system and a foreign language, but you are going in circles.
I do not speak Italian, and I do not own a MAC, but this is the one time I will try to help you.

as you can clearly see I do not speak Italian, but I have provided all the help I can for you, I can not help any more than this, I have no MAC, I speak no Italian, sorry if that sounds rude, but I tried. =)
You want to rezip the META-INF and class files. Nothing else should be rezipped. The readme, and biometerrainsettings.ini should be separated from the rezip folder.
New versions are up! Custom tree plugin system is in but quite limited at the moment (still tons of fun though!). Please post your feedback and ideas!
Also, SSP version has been rewritten from the ground up. Please redownload and apply ONLY to a fresh minecraft.jar. IF you apply it to one with BiomeTerrain already installed it will not work!
Enjoy! I'll leave the screenshots to you guys since my trees suck. :tongue.gif:
I believe the terrain algorithm changed ever so slightly, so no promises but I doubt you'll see significant terrain errors (if any at all, just rough transitions at worst).
It's a much better release though so I'd really urge you to upgrade. Not to mention you can make custom biome trees.
The process to upgrade is simple: Make a backup copy of your biomeTerrainSettings.ini file, let it generate a fresh one, and manually copy your values back in. Make sure to preserve all the newly generated values or it will overwrite your file!
I'm curious if density settings operate on the trees. Though per-tree rarity would be really nice I agree, and maybe even defining what the leaves drop? at the moment it just cycles through the folder and disperses them 50/50 with Notch trees if both are on.
The trees are based on the TreeExample.ini, which you remove the comments from, edit to your liking, and put in the TreePlugins folder. Then just enable custombiomerees :smile.gif:
By the way, I found our issue.
if (CustomTreeGenerated = false)
for performance fixes; i now can run this mod without my computer keeling over.
for being quick on bugfixes; i had trouble with making default trees and saw you were already on it.
and for biome trees; i can get them to work and have finally found an interest in messing with those confusing .ini files.
i have a request! not necessarily from you, but from anyone who reads this thread. is there anyway we could share our settings for this newer biome terrain mod update? forgive me if this has already been started, i found some pre-beta threads with a list of different settings you could download, but nothing current.
minecraft for me is first about exploration, and this mod really gives life to that.
Yeah, this thing has become somewhat of a passion for me in my spare time, lol.
That said, it's not my baby, it's bucyruss's If he ever comes back he has 100% rights to my code. Until then I am treating this as a GPL work on the google code site. :smile.gif:

ha! more then I would do, and he still wants more :tongue.gif:
So full of WIN! (^_^)b
If it's the SSP version you are using I am posting a new version right now. Please try it and get back to me if you still experience this.
I'll post again when it's up.

Settings:
SquareTree = false
SquareTop = false
TrunkType = redwood
TrunkRadius = 1
TrunkHeight = 20
LeafWidthPeak = 3
LeafBeginHeight = 8

SwamplandEnabled = true
SeasonalForestEnabled = true
ForestEnabled = true
SavannaEnabled = true
ShrublandEnabled = true
TaigaEnabled = true
DesertEnabled = true
PlainsEnabled = true
IceEnabled = true
TundraEnabled = true
Reading the readme is actually essential this time around. I turned them off by default because the code is very beta. :wink.gif:
Do Custom trees obey density limitations?
Is red sky in SSP really gone?
How's performance in general? How is it with Caves off? Biome Trees off? Both?
You'd want to mess with BiomeTerrainVolatitility settings. Something like this:
volatility1:-1.0
volatility2:0.0
volatilityWeight1:1.0
volatilityWeight2:0.0
See the readme for greater details, that will make it pretty much all plains iirc.
I'm curious if density settings operate on the trees. Though per-tree rarity would be really nice I agree, and maybe even defining what the leaves drop? at the moment it just cycles through the folder and disperses them 50/50 with Notch trees if both are on.
Also, are we talking about Notch Biome trees? They may be broken, I didn't test them I must confess, just assumed they would still work.
I'll get back to you and release another build if that's broken.
By the way, I found our issue.

Should've been
if (CustomTreeGenerated == false)
Stupid Java... :wink.gif:

Yes, you downloaded the first release. The new "a" release I just released actually fixes that, sorry need to test better. :wink.gif:
