This reminds me, is there any way to implement some kind of labeling or identification system for blocks such as triggers (although ideally all blocks), like a display whatever the crosshair is currently looking at in a corner of the screen or something? I think that could increase workflow a lot, especially for those less organized like myself lol
Hey guys, I wonder, is there a tutorial on using the camera block? I have selected the camera block and typed in /cameraadd. But it just says I must use a timer or something, I have no idea how a timer or a camera block works.
Can somebody tell me or find a tutorial on how it works?
Also, is there going to be any statue like block on the way? A step further on that one, is a turret of some kind that was able to track the player would be amazing, although I'm not sure how tricky that would be.
I'm very curious to know what your vision is of the future for this mod, since it seems to keep opening new doors that make me have to re-asses plans for maps I make, it would be useful to build ahead and just drop things in once they are added to the mod.
:sad.gif: I would like to play it soo much! I just got 3 tiny little problems!
1. When I run installer.exe (I've tried both login and without it) it first says "Error in class: Ak.class"
then I install it without ak.class file, then it says "Error in class: Al.class" And I'm pretty sure it goes on and on until the last 2letter .class file!
2. If I ignore the errors it gives me adventureCraft.exe won't start!
3. If I try to play Minecraft from the normal Minecraft.exe it will just freeze in the end of the loading screen...
I'm so sad I would let 200 blow me up! Or blow myself up with 10,000 !
You tried installing on a modified minecraft, most likely. As to how it affected your normal Minecraft, I don't know, it shouldn't have.

You can use some of the current blocks to make a statue, kind of. Like I'm using two glass blocks for statues in my Zelda I map.

You need to add specify a time interval when using /cameraadd. For example, /cameraadd 13 . The camera point that would place would be reached thirteen seconds into the cutscene.

Many people have gotten this, and I'm not sure why, nor do I think Cryect is. Your best bet is to manually install by copying minecraft.jar into AdventureCraft/.minecraft/bin and your resources folder into AdventureCraft/.minecraft
No... I had some mods installed BUT I used my backup minecraft.jar file to do this! Or do resource files count? If they do I'll better try it with deleting them!
Resource files shouldn't affect it. Did you try InstallerLogin?

This might sound strange, but what exactly does toggling map edit mode do? I just place/destroy blocks in debug mode which seems to work fine, does map edit mode offer some benefits I'm not seeing?

I'm not sure...try running via the .bat file so that when the error pops up, you can see it in the command prompt.

From what I understand, it permanently binds your changes to the map files. Meaning, if you take a base map, add several blocks and then start a new world with that map, they won't be there. You do the same thing, but with mapedit, those changes will be saved.

When i get the .rar file i unrar it and get the folder i then run the installer.class file and it says succesfully installed
then i install installerlogin.class and it logs me in but when i open up adventurecraft.class nothing happens
and yes i am on a mac

You need to assign a selection area to the block storage before trying to save it.
More features for NPCs are planned, they just haven't come yet.

Create a new folder in your map folder - adventurecraft/maps/superdungeon/mob. Same goes for sounds, music or anything you're changing.
Hmm.. still not working. This is what I did. AdventureCraft/map/Test map/ mob/nomnomnom.png
Another question, can you make the Bots do something other then talk? Like follow you around or walk fight even equips weapons?
