hay just a bug im really getting annoyed with now when you die and return to a save block it places you at the lowest possible level below it so when i die i end up in rooms that i have not even entered yet
For everyone who are having problems, here is how to install this mod, step by step, exactly what you need to do. This is for WINDOWS 7.
First of all, this is a big mod so you would want to have at least 2GB RAM and a decent processor. I run on normal render distance, and get about 5-20 fps, with my 2 GB RAM and my dual core 1.8GHz processor. If you want to know what your specs are do Windows button+R, then type in dxdiag. Click yes, and look for how much GHz your processor has. Then, do CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and you should see graphs under the names of CPU usage history. I have two graphs, meaning I have 2 cores. Other people may have 4 cores, which is much better, others may have 8, which is amazing. Also, in the dxdiag window there is something called Memory. That's your RAM. The higher, the better.
So that's that. Now, here is how to install the mod:
-First thing's first, you have to have purchased minecraft.
-Now, download the mod. It should be a .ZIP file. (I think, either that or .RAR)
-Make a new folder. Doesn't matter where, let's say on your desktop. We will call this folder AC.
-So, using WinRAR or another tool, open up the compressed file (.ZIP or .RAR) and place the first folder you see in the newly creater folder you just made (On your desktop)(The folder called AC).
-Great! Now, open up Run (Windows button+R) and type in "Appdata". Go into Roaming, then STOP.
-This is where most people fail miserably. You must pay very close attention.
-Have both windows open, your ROAMING folder and you AC folder, which should have a folder called AdventureCraft
-Go into the AdventureCraft folder (Which is IN your AC folder) and you should see a bunch of things, amongst them would be the installer, the exe, and some other folders.
-Now, in the AdventureCraft folder, there is a folder called .minecraft. Go into it, and also go into the .minecraft folder in your ROAMING folder.
-Now, Copy+Paste ALL the contents of your .minecraft (in the roaming folder) into the .minecraft folder (in your AdventureCraft folder, which is in AC)
-This should take a pretty long time, depending on how fast your computer is.
-Now, go back up to AdventureCraft (That's one level up from where you pasted all that content) and you should see a bin folder. Go into it, and also go into the bin folder in your roaming/.minecraft.
-Again, copy+paste all the contents of the original bin into the AdventureCraft bin. Just do it, no questions.
-After that, do the same for the Resources folder. Go into your original .minecraft, into the resources folder, copy&paste contents into the AdventurCraft resources folder.
-After you have finished copying and pasting all those files, run (Double click) the install.exe (or installer.exe, I don't know what it's called).
-It should give you a "Finished installing", but then WHOA!
-A windows 7 screen pops up, telling you it wasn't installed correctly! Well let me tell you right now that it WAS installed correctly, so you can just click "It was installed correctly" and close that window.
-Now, simply run adventureCraft.exe and play the game!
So, that is how I did it. And it works perfectly. If you want to update the mod, you must download it's newest version, and repeat what you did to install it. Now, you also want to keep your save from the older version, right? Well, the saves are located in AdventureCraft/.minecraft/saves. So what you do is just take whichever saves you want, copy them, and paste them in the newest version's saves folder. Then, run that world and it should be fine. There are other ways, of course, but this is one of them.
I hope this helps, and it should, considering most people have windows 7 now. Also, make sure you do not copy&paste from the old AdventureCraft folder when updating, because that will cause overruns, which would result in both your miserably failing and causing the game to not work. Just, always take content from your original, nothing else.
Also make sure the mod is updated to the newest version of minecraft, because if it is not I can promise you it will be F'd up for sure.
If you have followed every single step of this tutorial, and it still doesn't work, please do not spam this topic with:
-IT'S NOT WORKING OMG YOU ARE SO STUPID VJBEUBLIUEBC WHY DOESNT IT WORK I WANT IT TO WORK
-Or
-OMG SYSTEM CRASH ERROR WHY ISNT IT WORKING IT WORKS ON MY FRIENDS BLRG BLRG BLRG I AM SO MAD
Just, relax, write down the problem, which step you are stuck on, and someone will help you.
EDIT:
Somebody asked this question:
where do I place the maps from DL? when I click null-2 the list is blank.
You place downloaded maps in two possible places. If it is a "World" save, place it in the adventurecraft/.minecraft/saves
If it is a "Named" save (Such as "The lost miner") place it in your adventurecraft/maps
It's pretty tough to explain, I will try to make a tutorial (Video) eventually.
Sorry but this doesnt' work for me. Yes, I have Windows 7. Yes, I followed every step(twice) and it only got the installer to respond by downloading sounds that the game comes with(animal sounds, block sounds, stuff like that). Instead of having to follow these complicated instructions he should fix the installer. Also, when the installer finishes installing, no error message comes up saying it didn't install correctly.

I've never done any of that and have never had a problem. All I do is toss the AC folder directly from the zip into my minecraft folder (so that it reads appdata/roaming/minecraft/Adventurecraft) and run the installer. Heck, when I first used it, I kept the AC folder on my desktop, ran the installer and it still worked. I have no idea why you'd have to move files piecemeal into the actual Minecraft files.
Dude. You. Are. A. FREAKING GOD!!!!
The first thought of an Adventure mode was pretty cool, but you made the possiblities so endless!
The features of this mod are way too incredible. Downloading!
Please help! When I try to run the installer, an error code pops up saying
"invalid entry compressed size (expected 11534 but got 11627 bytes)"
Somebody please help, I really want to try this mod :sad.gif:
Invalid entry compression size.(expected 12571 but got 12666 bytes)
Help please? I run on Windows XP 32 bit. Reward of 10x
Please please help?
I really wanna try this out because it looks so cool!
I had this problem too! To fix this, don't delete the version file. If you deleted it, run the normal minecraft and once it downloaded everything exit it. After that, run the Adventure Mode installer and it should work!
how can i create my own map?? i start a new world but i dont know how to get the items trigger items the memo lbok and i cant destroy blocks too.. and what do i click or what button do i use to activate debug mode

Those with incorrect size its due to something has modified your minecraft.jar incorrectly and you need a fresh install.

Cryect please do us a favor and place the to videos on how to setup this mod on the 1st post.
The install videos weren't updated with the new installer last I saw? I really prefer if people don't try to copy files to their minecraft directory since it causes all sorts of issues.
On the offhand, will release hopefully tomorrow. I need to finish some changes with the shield including tutorial on how to use it. Also add indicator for what the offhand item is on the control bar. Plus I want to rework how its gets used from ctrl clicking to left click controls the main while right clicking controls offhand. This will take a little bit of time. Don't have tons of free time during the week to implement code.
On those wondering about the hookshot grabbing mobs, you do know you can right click again and it will stop grabbing them? Lets you pull mobs off ledges etc instead of all the way to you.

You're a lone commando tasked to destroy the Nazi Zombie Federation's dam.
Awesome, for some reason it never dawned on me that offhand would introduce double-clawshot type usage of the hookshot. Gotta be careful though - use the wrong click and you might be dead =P.
On another note, I have run into quite the dilemma, Cryect. While trying to solve an irritating issue that was causing a redstone-linked memory block to be set every time all blocks were reset, somehow my spawn point ended up in spikes. I spawn directly in spikes. I don't have time to teleport, to activate debug mode, or anything when I respawn. It's complete, instant death. Ideas? >_>;;;
To help us understand why these things happen, can you please put together a video tutorial detailing spawn blocks, how to use them, where the player spawns relative to them, and different ways to use them (can they be triggered by other blocks in your system? I assume so.) I keep all mine a block above the ground, and still end up spawning somewhere way below the spawn point almost every time.
Fantastic! Just more proof that notch has been sitting around napping and playing Civ V too much. By the way, is there any chance you can create weather as a separate mod?
Which block was it? Also are you sure you weren't in debug mode?
Pretty awesome.
Can you please comment this, Cryect ?
Strange... will download the version with the maps.
EDIT: Still doesnt work. Add the .BAT File back please :smile.gif:

If you intend to release it to the rest of the community, isn't that kinda plagiarizing Cryect's work? >_>
