This mod used to work for me but then i downloaded it again after deleting and when i run the jar i get "Could not create Java virtual machine" then I run the batch file and get this

Got this when playing a map I made from an earlier version (Some version around April 2011...)
I have only one problem with this, it doesnt work for me! When I try to open any of the files or the application itself, it says this: Could not find the main class: ACLauncher. Program will now exit. Please help. (Other than that, I know AC is a awesome mod)

It depends on how you like it. If you want to put in a lot of work and make players feel like they can "explore", then use an open map.
If you want to give players a generic direction of where to go, then used a closed map. I'm using a closed map in my game. There's still a ton of backtracking involved, but with a closed map I can take away from of the exploration elements and focus on dungeons and puzzles. (For me, this reminds me of the original Zelda)

no, because this doesn't even TOUCH any of your minecraft files it runs seperately plus you've got the palette by using F7 and use F8 to go forward a page. no offense but this is why you read the OP

1. There is no need to install TMI in adventurecraft
2. Adventurecraft isn't designed to be compatible with anything else. Any alleged compatibility will probably corrupt your files at some point
Why would you need TMI when you just hit F7 and F8 to get the same thing?

PS when I first started with adventurecraft people commonly used TMI
I was just asking can I use it and after hearing from them that it was not I backed up my stuff and tried to get it to work and succeeded. I'm not saying it is perfect you do lose infinite items

Or you can combine the two, like in LoZ: OoT.

Well, Minecraftplayer3223121, Cryect is not going to add sprinting or 1.8 features because:
1. All 1.8 features are possible through scripting.
2. Adding 1.8 features, such as sprinting, to AdventureCraft now would likely ruin most current AdventureCraft maps.
3. AdventureCraft is striving to become separate from Minecraft.
