I would recommend closing some programs as Java had only allocated ~27MB of memory and you have less than 193MB of memory free across both physical RAM and virtual. It needs a couple hundred MB to be able to run.

Very big problem here. Every time I open up one of the starting maps (Biome Test and Mayan Temple) the Biome Test I always find myself spawned in a non-flat random terrain, as for the Mayan Temple, I find myself immediately spawned in the middle of a pit of lava. Either the game is not reading the code right, you coded something wrong, or I just installed it incorrectly. (Oh, and on the "ReadMe.txt" it says to start the game by opening the "AdventureCraft.jar" and install the game through there, which is impossible because I don't own a software that opens ".jar" files.) Otherwise, I really love the idea of the game and I hope it continues to grow.

Is there any way to disable the wildgras/better grass mod? because otherwise i have to play with the default texture pack. because when i try to play with another texture pack, all the grass are like blocks of blue.
This new version is working a lot better for me. Though you added bombs and arrow bombs a long time ago I love how it will send you flying, if you use a dispenser that is rapid firing and hold it in debug mode the explosion can even cause a lot of lag.

I've added in the start of the scripting block. You can't do much with it yet but it can run simple scripts from the scripts directory in your map folder. Near term goals at the moment are to document current commands, add more commands, add persistent variables, and improve the launcher so it can update AdventureCraft.
[*:2rtotd9x]Animated fan texture can be replaced.
[*:2rtotd9x]Muzzle flash added to guns.
[*:2rtotd9x]Adding several new scripting commands.
[*:2rtotd9x]Adds a script block which can execute code OnTrigger, OnDetrigger, and OnUpdate.
[*:2rtotd9x]Some launcher improvements so won't try to popup a webpage if SWT doesn't work.
Also I'm releasing the first update download which is a quite bit smaller. Just extract it to the location of where the AdventureCraft folder is located.

My game freezes whenever I use the normal adventurecraft.exe, and the only way to fix it is to end javaw.exe, which keeps adventurecraft open, and makes it work, but not for long. and so i usually use the alternate.exe, but the updates dont show up on the alternate.exe.
thanks for the help!
EDIT: It seems to only freeze and lag in only certain parts of the map, and the script block doesnt have a texture and there is no muzzle flash.

Okay, this is weird. Even when I downloaded this, it screws up. I think it has to do with my firewall. It still does it even when I turn the firewall off.

Try doing a fresh install to a new directory. Sounds like you aren't actually running the latest version is my guess.

The exe and batch file still don't work for you? The JAR would still break in the same behavior as it did previously for you. Was just tackling some issues with the exe and fixing it for other OS'es potentially.

It seemed to work at first, but now its not, same problems too. sorry : /
it runs two javaw.exe's and ending one fixes it, and if you end the wrong one, it just...well, closes the game haha

I'm not going to post a 10 second video of me logging in and watching a popup stay on the screen for 2 seconds....
What do you mean by shortcut? You mean like a desktop shortcut?
I can't repro this error on any of my machines I can test with so don't have any real ideas else than sounds like the CWD isn't being set correctly.

I've deleted the whole folder and re-exteacted fresh from the .zip. I open the adventurecraft.jar with Java, and I still get that error.
Looking in the jar, I foind the class, yet it still says it can't find it: http://i813.photobucket.com/albums/zz53 ... aftjar.png (Picture is 1280x1024.)
