OK, i used the patcher, but i used the more realistic shader, it patched correctly, but then when i start minecraft and open a world, it crashes.

Interesting. You should try installing this without any other mods. If that doesn't work you should send me in a PM a copy of your Minecraft.jar with this installed.
Unrelated: Right now my priorities are to get a good bloom shader working and included, then I'll go back to bump mapping. Of course, looking out for an ATI card to debug on is always a priority and to those that offered to let me use your computers I might try to do that early next week (like Monday or Tuesday).
Hmmmm. This mod doesn't seem to work for me. I start up Minecraft after running the installer and hitting Y, and it just acts as if the mod was never installed. No depth-of-field, just normal graphics.
I love the idea of it, and I think it'd do great for some artistic screenshots, which is mainly why I want it, but it doesn't work for me.
I'm not using an ATI graphics card. In fact, here is some information taken straight from my advanced display settings window, under the Adapter tab:
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics (Core i3)
DAC Type: Internal
Adapter String: Intel(R) HD Graphics
Bios Information: Internal Video BIOS
I'm using Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 6.1.7600 64-bit, if that makes any difference...
Please help! It looks like an excellent mod and I desperately want to use it!
I clicked the .bat and it said no .jar was supplied. So I coppied the .jar to the folder AND STILL SAYS IT. What did I do wrong?
EDIT: I did all it says on the readme, but the readme is so confusing. It is very (And long I mean sideways, not in length.) Anyway, When I was able to read it I did EXACTLY what it said, and I pressed enter. Then it said ABORTING... WTH!!!!!

I'm going to take the assumption that it told you
No minecraft.jar supplied.
Would you like to use the default minecraft.jar (Y/N)?
Did you try pressing Y (or yes) followed by the enter key?

The user who posted the video said in a comment, "I didn't really think of it, but the wave is phase shifted so that the viewer is at the top of the first wave. The actual formula the terrain is transformed by is distance / 5 * sin(distance - 1) / 2."
Any guidance? Call me crazy, but I think it'd be really interesting to run around the world like this for a little while.

ok, i got rid of all mods, absolutely clean install of minecraft, now i did both of the ways in the README.TXT file, that is drag both of the files with a space in between, and the clicking on install.bat in the daxnitro folder. it goes out like this :
"No minecraft.jar supplied.
Would you like to use the default minecraft.jar (Y/N)? y

Is this my fault or the patcher?
when i start on minecraft, no change, but it works, i am going to try not to use the patcher.
"update"
i tried just to copy the folders and files over, started minecraft, no visible effect, tried default and the realistic shaders, no difference, strange though, because my 460gtx overclocked can handle a lot, so i don't know.

Lol, I suppose I should release that shader just for you guys to play with. It's just a weird looking effect. I've been working on a shader that actually curves the world around on itself.

This other video is just a teaser of sorts of what else I'm cooking up:
Allows you to test GLSL shaders without owning an ATi card.
^Modding guides for Morrowind & Oblivion
This looks...perfect. From my outsiders perspective, at least.
Yes, I've tried this. The shaders all compile without error. It's a run-time problem so that program isn't of any help as far as I could tell.
The "b(..) is not found in kr" part of that error tells me you're using the 1.1_02 version of this mod. Download the 1.2_01 version.
could you just release spherical earth one? why keep it to yourself?
remember most of use don't write code
Before installing this mod, replace Shader.class with the following:
http://www.mediafire.com/?on36irhhknt1chb (for 1.2_01)
http://www.mediafire.com/?db721uiof2z6o8h (for 1.1_02)
Install the mod, test it with all of the different shaders and tell me if anything different happens. It may fix the problem, or it may not. My fingers are crossed.
