For those of you unable to locate java and don't know how to set the PATH variable, you can do it manually by opening the ...daxnitro/install.bat with notepad and replacing the word java with something like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" (except obviously you're gonna have to find out where your java is located). Then you have to go into ...daxnitro/mods/shaders/install.bat and do the same thing for anytime it says java in that file.
I'm getting the blackscreen on load, too (and I forgot to back up the .jar :sad.gif: )

I'm a decent Java programmer learning Python, and I'm skilled with server administration, WorldEdit, redstone circuitry, etc. Feel free to show me mod ideas, I'm thinking about starting to make mods, and I'd be happy to give insight as to how a mod could be implemented in Minecraft.
Updating to the latest Catalyst drivers (10.12) doesn't fix the problem :sad.gif:
I have this strange feeling that it would work in XP, I just don't have any good way to test it without wiping my system. A virtual machine is out because there is no way to pass the actual ATI card through to the guest, it just shows up as a generic card.

Yea, I posted that 10.12 didn't work earlier. It's definitely related to windows, I don't know if it's 7 exclusive or x64 exclusive but I've got an iMac with bootcamp and the mod works on OSX where it doesn't work under windows 7 with the same exact hardware. I wish there was some sort of error reporting going on but it doesn't even crash in a way that log files are reported back. Java is hard crashing, at least that's what I get in the event viewer.

I've got an ATI 5870 and am running XP 32 bit. Do you want me to try this out, see if it'll work? Or are you testing some other conditions?
Hope this helps!

Run command prompt (cmd.exe), navigate to the folder which houses "install.bat", run:
for 32-bit operating systems.
for 64-bit operating systems.
then run install.bat as intended.
You need the Java SDK to run install.bat
ATI cards are incompatible
Yeah i have a 5870 so :sad.gif: but I got the patcher to run after jdk install.
Looks like an awesome mod, can't wait to get it to work.
Or you know, just chill out because there is no mod system at this time.

Also I would love Anti-aliasing so... http://igm.univ-mlv.fr/~biri/mlaa-gpu/index.php?idmenu=0

If you didn't store a backup of your minecraft.jar (like I did), delete your bin folder.

No ATI support yet.

At least as far as I can tell from the screenshots. I get the black screen:
Windows7 x64, ATI Radeon HD 5450
I want this so bad my nipples tingle. If you get this to the state where it works on my end I'll donate.
Windows7 x64, ATI Radeon HD 3870X2
Anti Aliasing is coming. It shouldn't even be that hard to implement now. But hear me: It's coming.
The easiest way to delete it is just to delete Version and Minecraft.jar, run the patcher and it will redownload everything you need.
ATI CARTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED (as of now)
