You asking "please update" for anything is the same as people saying "update to 1.5," in case you didn't know... It's still update spam...
Okay, it would appear that bug does not occur with MinecraftForge but does occur with ModLoader. I do not know how to fix it at the moment. The error has to do with texture handling for trees, which I do not change, and since the error is exclusive to ModLoader I think a ModLoader error is the issue. But I am not sure. Timber seems to be the only ModLoader-using "block mod" that is updated at the moment, so I can't compare to other mods to see if they also have the issue unfortunately.
It isn't necessarily a problem with ModLoader. ModLoader and Forge just handle things differently. Minecraft changed something, Forge handled it one way and ModLoader didn't. Either way I just fixed it for ModLoader and will be uploading it in a minute (the new version will work for both ModLoader and Forge the same way still, don't worry).

I'm having a problem with giant jungle trees, the vines don't always despawn and just hang in the air so that it I try and plant another tree it won't grow until I've got rid of them.
Don't know if this is an issue with Timber or a bug in the game.
From that picture it looks like the vines are hanging from the tree's leaves so they wont disappear until the leaves do. If I'm wrong and they are just there from the nonexistent logs then i cant help ya.
