I have to thank CJB, as his code gave me insight as to what to do to remove dependence on entity player (which create conflicts with mods like fly mod, etc).
Thanks, I've uploaded a new update for beta 1.5_01 in the OP, if you can help me for bugs as I think there are a few annoying but not major bugs left.
Bug fixes-
Healing on peaceful not working properly.
"Error saving More Health settings " error.
Cake could not heal you above 10 hearts.
Fixed healing with food over 10 hearts bug from Version 5.5
Tried installing with just the prerequisite mods also. I took the liberty of running it thru MCPatcher and captured this error:

no, it doesn't work like that unfortunately. (if affects your player data). If you are doing something like that tell them to set health at certain levels.
New version removes use of da.class, so its compatible now.

inventory exit crash.

I realized I actually have to use gq.class the way I wanted my mod to work.
So, my next update with be a compatibility patch.
Will add compatible versions of zombe's fly mod,
Balkon's weapon mod
and add dungeon api if you need it for compatibility.

Do you have a crash log?
Also, did you add the folder moreHealth from the add to minecraft.jar folder into your .jar?
oh....well this is embarrassing ^^ i thought you had to drag the icon set you wanted directly into the jar, not remove the ones you didnt want and put the whole folder in, lol, thanks a bunch! i got it working. Maybe you could make putting the whole folder in a bit more obvious though?
Yeah I will clarify that in the readme when an update comes. Also, you don't have to remove the other item sets, its just the item set that are located in the folder moreHealth and NOT in a sub folder (so you can switch them up later). But glad it works!

Yeah, I will be working on compatibility fixes when I have the time.
That refers to the "gq.class" from beta 1.5_01.. the names change every update because of obfuscation. However I realized that I can not remove the need for gq.class because of the healing function embedded into the gh.class that I just can't leave alone (aka you can not heal with food past 10 hearts)
There is also another small bug I found that I will be fixing in the next update, where I will also include boss patch and compatibility fixes. So expected it to be some time.

Apologies, but what is the dungeon API for? Is that so chests at dungeons within the game will have heart containers?

Another bug fix, health after dying and respawning.
You do not NEED dungeon api, as in the normal install I've included the dungeon class modded so you can find heart containers (newly spawned areas though). However if another mod uses dungeon api, then I patched it so I use dungeon API as well.
Can you explain more? Because food works for me after testing it.
