I dont understand what this means because i dont know the internal struckture of minecraft's code. if anyone knows what the problem is, please tell me, i really would like this mod to work and it wont :sad.gif:
How do you uninstall this besides forcing minecraft to update/deleting the bin? I'm on a mac, I tried deleting the mod files from mctmp, but they just reinstall themselves when I boot up Minecraft. Any ideas?
there is a program that you can use to open and close the minecraft.jar folder on a mac, however its a pain to get it to work right, if i where you, i would use minecrafter to install mods

You're running an old version of Modloader. Download the newest version.
When the game is first loaded, grass will pop up very frequently. This should only last a few minutes. This was so that I did not have to modify the chunk loader.
The zip files don't directly contain the contents of the mod (which is kinda silly...), they contain subfolders, some of which contain parts of the mod which need to be installed. So you have to do it manually with the subfolders instructed by the readme. TFC's wont work.
Thanks LordBeverage, I manually installed the files but the default textures still show up with most texture packs only Ovo's custom wild flowers and grass show up... :unsure.gif:
For whatever reason, the non-modloader_terrain version doesn't seem to show any of the stuff I'm after, i.e. vines and wildflowers.
There a way to force them to show up without using the terrain version? Seeing as how the terrain version crashes me on pickup and all.

That's cause TFC's Mod Manager probably installs the Modloader version of WildGrass for you, and only some texture packs are Modloader compatible. The difference is that the Modloader version of WildGrass has the images in a folder, and the normal version has them on the terrain.
Was wondering this myself. I hope Notch consulted with you EJ. It would be sad to lose all the richness of WildGrass and find a little bit of TallGrass in it's place! :sad.gif:

I'm guessing it's probably going to be even easier to update it now, seeing how part of it is somewhat going to be implemented into the game.

For what I've seen from 1.6 its just tall grass (1 sprite). I really hope it gets proper implementation as WildGrass is one of the best things that have happened to minecraft.
I have 2 questions(And yes, I registered only to ask these questions);
1: Once 1.6 comes out, does this mean Minecraft will look exactly like it would if I had 1.5 with your wildgrass mod on? I mean, tall grass and wild grass are the same thing, right?
2: I DID install the modloader_terrain one, as the regular modloader did not work, and the client one crashed my minecraft entirely. So is the same with the vines and flowers. BUT when I have it installed, it works for a short period of time, and as soon as I hit a sheep, or destroy any block, or even DARE try to pick up seeds from tilled grass, the game freezes and crashes shortly after.
I tried with Wild Grass/Vines/Flowers, each individually and all together, with texture pack Minecraft4Kids x128 and x64 and default texture, with graphics on fast AND fancy, nothing changes. The only mods I have on are BetterGlass and the texture pack, and I don't see how BetterGlass would be a problem, seeing how that one guy on The Gentlemen's Gaming Corner(video )has both of them and a bunch of other mods and his doesn't seem to crash.
I hope you won't stop developing, EJ, I'd have real problems without wild vines, and the little bit of grass notch added... seems quite poor.
I will continue to develop, however I am not sure what form it will take.
Since Notch is adding official grass, I will have to wait to see what that is like and if I can use that as part of my implementation. I will hopefully be able to change my mod to work with the real grass, and use it's functionalities to produce the grass you guys have come to love. It will however be made to match more closely the way Notch intends grass to work, so there may be some changes.
For example, I don't know if Notch will have variable height, if so, the only change may be the dispersion of it to match how mine looks. If it is only single height, I will make it variable like I currently do. I will probably just use Notch's sprites to make things easier on texture artists and especially using modloader.
Vines and Lily pads will remain unchanged and continue to be developed as-is.

Ohhh...Okay I did notice that the texture pack that is working had the .png files in a specific folder for wildgrass.
Now my question is--don't I have to use the modloader version of the mod or can I install differently or ? hmm idk but I miss the flowers and grass from the minecraft4kids pack :tongue.gif:
And I seriously won't be updating my Minecraft until this mod is updated to 1.6-- I couldn't live without my wildgrass :biggrin.gif:
You can briefly see Mojang's "tall grass" at the end of the 1.6 trailer, and I have to say I am not the least bit surprised that Notch's implementation is a half-assed boring single-sprite.
At this point I want Notch to stop implementing mods and focus on a modding API, because whenever they integrate a community mod into the core game it falls short.

I did see that, but I played for at least ten minutes with no apparent change. Should I just try waiting longer?

No, there's no such thing as bukkit mods. There is a WildGrass plugin, however. Find it here: =P

Come on guys. Why do I get no help at all?
