You're doing it wrong. Use the modloader version, NOT modloader_terrain.
how to make the wildgrass mod using texturepacks wildgrass if im using the "modloader" not the "modloader_terrain"?
i dont want the default grass, misa's grass is my selection~

You can't, not until Wild Grass is updated, at least.
If you want to use Wild Grass, you're stuck with the default texture for the time being.
I'm sure Notch's version will not be as well done as this one is, but I'm a bit cynical.
I still love this mod
The screenshot if it looks fine, and I'd be surprised if it can't be altered in texture packs. http://i.imgur.com/JUEYD.jpg
I think he was inspired to do this because of Terraria, not because of this mod...

I'm not sure if you're still wanting people to provide you with information when new texture pack implements wild grass support, but I've got technically eight if you're interested. My pack, A Brave New World, is powered by a launcher that rotates through seasons on a 12 month calendar in conjunction with your system clock, so there's four season packs and four holiday packs. I've been a big fan of this mod since you started and the seasonal grass really ups the wow factor of my texture pack. Many thanks.

Actually, you can have custom texture. You only need to remplace the wildgrass folder texture by your own.
For that, you have to use a program like paint.net that reconize transparency then edit each one with it.
That how i got my painterly pack working agai =D

Now my problem...I installed Wild Grass using the TFC Mod Manager and it is showing only the default wild grass textures even though a few of my texture packs fully support the mod--one exception is Ovo's Rustic Pack. This is strange because it worked with all of my texture packs the first time I installed it (I had some problems so had to reinstall everything)
why would it work with one pack and not others? I also have Mod loader, Mo Creatures, GUI API and a sound mod installed and know that these are all compatable. Anyone know what the problem could be?

The zip files don't directly contain the contents of the mod (which is kinda silly...), they contain subfolders, some of which contain parts of the mod which need to be installed. So you have to do it manually with the subfolders instructed by the readme. TFC's wont work.
Love the mod!
Couple feedbacks:
1) Growth is a bit too fast. I feel as though spontaneous grass generation should happen much more slowly, perhaps once daily or bi-daily in a fairly large area. Maybe I'm still experiencing the early-on fast growth, but having cleared about a 14x14 area, at least 10 patches sprouted within about a few "hours" (sun barely moved before they started sprouting).
Yup! its much better now!
2) Trampling please! This would certainly raise this mod to a new level!
3) Great work!
You can use 7zip or another program like that to open the minecraft.jar. The minecraft.jar is in C:\Users\[Username here]\appdata\roaming\.minecraft\bin, at least on Vista. Best search for %appdata% in the start menu.
Well, I am new to using mods, when I attempt to drag them into minecraft.jar (using 7zip) it has the No-can-do symbol on the mouse. u know, the circle with the line through it? it won't let me drop them into the folder.
How do you uninstall this besides forcing minecraft to update/deleting the bin? I'm on a mac, I tried deleting the mod files from mctmp, but they just reinstall themselves when I boot up Minecraft. Any ideas?

Get WinRAR, and if that doesn't work, you have a "corrupted" .jar (as far as any program besides minecraft is concerned). Start over, with grass first, adding your mods on top of that.
This looks like a great mod, but I'm confused. I started up a world for the first time, and it was COVERED in grass. Is the mod supposed to look like this? The pictures show a lot less populated grass. If it's normally set like this, maybe a GUI control could be added? I'd rather have the wild grass as a sort of here-and-there addition, not just spam.

you need to use the modloader version of wildgrass. you can't use the client version and modloader together
