Also, to add on, when I use the modloader wildgrass and use a texture pack that has custom wildgrass, it doesn't work, only default wildgrass.
Yeah same here :/ I just use the modloader_terrain version, but then it makes it so that I can only use texture packs that have wildgrass support.
Oh that works? Well I try and use the modloader_terrain version and that doesn't even work. See that error on a few posts I put above. That's what I am getting when I use modloader_terrain with 13.2
It could possibly be that I am using the new HDTexture 2.0.1 (Not using bettergrass) or bug with modloader_terrain in v13.2
edit: I was using a ModLoader version (1.5_01v1) right when it came out. I am now using ModLoader 1.5_01v3, which works perfectly with modloader_terrain and modloader WildGrass. But the problem still remains with modloader, but the texture pack has a custom WildGrass, then modloader_terrain works with it, perfectly.
Sorry if that is confusing. Maybe disregard my previous post with the modloader_terrain, because that is with a previous version of ModLoader
I've been using this mod near since it's been released, and I have a few suggestions for future versions if you don't mind:
Tundra/Taiga flowers (Like how they turn into different flowers in tropical areas and savannas). Maybe bushes or something (Since you don't really expect to see flowers in a cold climate region).
Replacing leaves in tropical areas with palm leaves, or some broad-leaf looking texture (Not sure if this is even possible, but it would be pretty cool IMO)
Tumbleweed (Maybe leaves placed in desert biomes?). It would make great for those boring deserts.
Just some thoughts I had. The more ambiance, the better. :biggrin.gif:
I can't make this mod to work. First I use mcpatcher for the texturepack, then I put in modloader (downloaded newest ver.), and then files from client, modloader and modloader_terrain. The game just crashes... (and yes I have meta-inf deleted)

Any ideas how to fix this?
Yes, dont use modloader and modloader_terrain, use one or the other.
i carnet add the wild grass to my server cause its a bukkit server BUT WHY MAKE THEM SO THEY HAVE TO BEE MADE ON A SERVER FOR THEM TO WORK ONLINE
wild grass is not on my server but if i put a rose or a flower in the walter the flower breaks and i get the flower but i still see the lilly and can break the lilly like it whas there
if i try to place a vine it appears then disserperes
no wild grass but if i put my map on single player then put the map on my server i see the wild grass
can you make this bukkit compatible or just make it so it dose not need to be on the server
Bukkit has it's own class files and are very different from vanilla class files from what I heard, it would simply have to be implemented a different way. Like a bukkit plugin with all the custom class files in that folder to be loaded when the server is loaded.

Whats the difference between the modloader and modloader_terrain versions?
modloader = uses a wild grass folder which contains separate "grass growth" textures. This mod is good if you do not have a modified terrain file (see below).
modloader_terrain = uses the terrain file (it must be modified to have additional wild grass textures) to render the textures in the game. This mod also contains a 16px vanilla terrain with additional wild grass textures.
If I'm wrong, feel free to give me a virtual slap!
Also, to add on, when I use the modloader wildgrass and use a texture pack that has custom wildgrass, it doesn't work, only default wildgrass.
Yeah same here :/ I just use the modloader_terrain version, but then it makes it so that I can only use texture packs that have wildgrass support.
Since modloader_terrain makes it use the terrain.png from the minecraft.jar, if that doesn't have wildgrass images in the right parts of the png (like from the custom texturepacks that include wildgrass images) it won't work.
or possibly, it tries to grow the grass but the grass textures are blank so the grass is invisible? You could try randomly using a hoe and see if some grass squares take 2 or 3 swipes to change to farmland. If there is no wildgrass, it only takes 1 swipe. With wildgrass, the hoe reduces the grass to zero then converts it to farmland, so the number of swipes are variable.
I love this mod to pieces, unfortunately, it seem to be incompatible with almost every other mod I have. Does anyone know if it breaks the standard mod loader?
Edit: I ended up getting it to work, I was applying two versions at once. Silly me -.-

If the world falls to pieces around you, you probably used too much TNT.
Is it normal for grass to grow fast? I mean the WHOLE area is covered in it (barely half of a day passed), and I can barely see anything... I like the mod but is there any way to slow grass growth?
From my experience the grass does grow very fast, but it never obstructed my view. It's only supposed to grow one block high. I don't think there's a feature for limiting growth speed. I could be wrong, I just couldn't find one.

HMmm... theres this problem with the flower mod, the grass mod works fine, but when i downloaded the flower mod, the game crashes when I load a world( Like I look around for 2 seconds, and tehn CRASHHH) . Any solution to this yet?
And also, does the wild grass melt snow?Cause, I'm in a snow biome :ohmy.gif:
when it says the mods non ivasive that means that when i delete the mod all the grass, vines, water lilies etc. will be deleted and it wont corrupt my save file. am i right?

ssssss thatsssssss a very nice ssssssignature you have there
So I cant get the grass to go away... I deleted the mod because I dont like the trade off of slow load time, but I cant make the grass go away!!
The mod is completely gone out of my jar, but when I go to my world that I loaded the grass on, all the grass is still there! Its just gray/white! Its rather annoying as the slow load time persists : P
I tried loading that "reset" file, but I couldnt find it. Am I missing something?
I got to say, I LOVE this mod, but I ended up having to un-download it, cause my game kept on crashing. I enjoyed this mod a lot though, it really adds a nice texture to this game. :biggrin.gif:
Since I installed Wild Grass my world has been a bit buggy. Things in the distance take a long time to load unless I move closer. And I've seen bright light in the distance at night and dark patches of light during the day.
Does anyone know why this is happening? It even does this with the Default Minecraft textures. I've been using WildGrass for a while now but for some reason this is going on only now. (I'm using the modloader_terrain version)
EDIT: NVM, got it.

I really like your mod but I have a suggestion:
Grass growing from under snow is white/tinted white heavily in addition to their biome.
I know that's kind of weird with how the color mapping works, but I'd really appreciate it.
