thanks so much! i was getting pretty frustrated about this!
Not a problem. I got annoyed by it, for a while, too. Though, I've stopped using the /give command a while back, after installing VoxelModPack's "VoxelGet" mod... lets me have access to as many items as I want, without having to go into Creative Mode... which is good, since I've gotten sick of the "Try to break one block... break a whole bunch of blocks behind it!" crap that happens to me, whenever I'm trying to do so, in Creative Mode.
I should point out, also, regarding enchantments... it's not a good idea to use Efficiency over "Lv. 10" for extended periods of time. You'll crash your client. I actually "ruined" a test map, because I cleared through thirty blocks in rapid succession with a "Efficiency Lv. 127" Diamond Pickaxe in a matter of seconds, and it suddenly kicked me to the "Disconnected from server" message screen (this was offline!). Each time I tried to return to that area, and break another block, it would disconnect. So... yeah... be careful playing with "Super enchanting"... it can mess things up.
Cheers for that. And for your answer too, LoRaM. This thread would disintegrate pretty quickly without you guys. Well done for putting up with all the pointless, repeated questions as well as you do.
I'll have to try doing it that way and see how well it works for me. I wonder why the change was made; copying and pasting between worlds was very handy
Ah well, never mind. As I said, I'd be happy enough to revert to my 1.2.5 backup if I don't like the new way.
Glad to help. I'm sure you'll get the hang of the new system of pasting into worlds. I like the "schematic" method more, because I can share my builds with friends, and even keep a permanent copy of it. Very handy.
I've been trying to follow everyones problems and so far I'm not seeing a sollution here. Is SPC just not finished, broken, or what? I tried to use //pos 1 or //hpos 1 and it glitched everything to hell. Nothing seem's to be functioning and I've not yet found a sollution to this. Is SPC not compatiable with McPatcher anymore perhapse?
[Edit] What I've been seeing is that the //pos and //replace commands as well as most water fix commands were removed and that World Edit / SPC aren't compatible with each other anymore? Okay I'm at a complete loss here with so much random information...

//pos1 & 2, //replace //fixwater, and //fixlava (all WE commands by the way) work on my XP.
Did you manually install? Where did YOU put the worldedit.jar? If it's in the MC.jar, IT ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE!
READ the manual installation instructions to find out where it belongs; and put it there!
Ok, me again. Please help me!! I installed WorldEdit finally right, the commands are working (eg //wand). But I can't select the first and second position (yes, I'm using the axe). Left or right click dont work?!
It glitches from time to time... Try restarting.

I install my mods via McPatcher HDFix - much quicker and easier than fiddling with a thousand different things - going to ask though, does that not work anymore?

NO
Nor does MagicLauncher or SKMCLauncher either (probably countless others as well)!
Sometimes YOU must act on your own to make a Mod work!
This is one of those times!
Put it where the installation instruction says it belongs and forget it. It'll cause no problem.
This HAS been discussed in earlier posts!
Yes I understand its been discussed but here is the main issue. Some programs require specific things to opperate fully, SPC to my knowledge was one of them "in the past". Hell it worked in McPatcher before - assumed it would again - since last time I installed it they said you needed "Modloader" - which comes with McP.
Bahhh why is minecraft getting so retardedly complex.

It isn't; it's evolved to where it expects YOU to think!
Time to READ page 1 again... You need no other Mods for SPC to work!
Ok, Lou. Thanks But now I have another problem.. I deleted the .jar and put another worldedit.jar into the /bin folder. Now it says in the game "unknown worldedit version". What do I have to do?
Use my signature, search for "WE+Latest". Find an earlier post by me that tells you where to get and install it.

Yeah it's working nicely. Quite handy that if I want another paste after I've cleared the clipboard I just need to reload the schematic instead of reselecting the region and copying again. Thanks!
Now all I need to do is fix my strobe-glitching optifine!
hi, sorry to bother you with this again but /give 6:0~3 all give the same item =/ am i doing something wrong?
Let's change to wool (all wool is 35) as an example. There are 16 different colors with damage ranging from 0 (white) to 15 (black). Cyan is listed as 359, the 9 is what's most important. Use damage with /give or /item
5 cyan wool (example) = /give itemname or itemnumber quantity damage = /give wool 5 9 = /give 35 5 9 = /give wool:9 5 = /give 35:9 5
Running all the above commands will create 20 cyan wool blocks. Use the one that’s easiest for you to remember… I find /give 35:9 Qty the easiest.
Lou
/give 6:0 Qty
/give 6:1 Qty
/give 6:2 Qty
/give 6:3 Qty
Each command provides a different type of tree.

Hey I have an idea, I don't know if it's been said before or not, but how about a command that adds (and removes) effects from potions? You could set the effect, strength and duration.
I dont know if this has already been noted but for some reason, when I try to install the preferred automated install, the version it gives me is SPC 4.2 not 4.3 any suggestions? Im using a mac if that means anything.
I downloaded your mod and opened up minecraft. Surprise surprise! All my entities (villagers and cows) froze and doors wouldn't open, but I could move. What's wrong?I downloaded your mod and opened up minecraft. Surprise surprise! All my entities (villagers and cows) froze and doors wouldn't open, but I could move.
