No hurry, but I would love to see an add potion effect added to the command list. I'm just assuming it's possible because SethBling has a filter for it on MCedit, but I'm not sure you can. But this is obviously not a time for new ideas so I'm just grateful you're continuing the project, so in other words, take it one step at a time.
Well its not like we have a lot of choice in waiting for it, not like we can really take our business elsewhere. I have to be honest my patience is running thin. First Saturday was announced then Wednesday its basically Friday now (GMT). I mean I want this to be the best it can, and I know Simo is on holiday. I think I have been quite restrained till now, but I am getting to the end of my tether. If Simo had said yeah it won't be ready till the middle of the month then I would be cool with waiting as that would be the definite date, but all this reneging on his word is worse than saying in 2 weeks or 4.
You sound like someone making a customer service complaint.
But you see ... you are not actually a customer, so this way of viewing things is not appropriate.
(Probably been said before but bears repeating) Knowing a bit about modding MC, I can say that it would be possible to (rewrite? XD) spc to use the pre-existing command line and chat function, and in and of itself, I think that there would resolve most of the SPC (not WE necessarily) issues right off the bat. By adding commands, the mod would avoid breaking old commands incl. Command Blocks and possibly not require further porting to fix the Command Blocks. You've probably thought about this already (I mean, you're brilliant for coming up with this mod), but these are just my two cents. Thanks, CAD97.
TANGENT: (I know I haven't posted anything but I've been around a while and played with modding a tiny tiny bit. (I know a bit of Java.)) (I XD because he already practically re-wrote for 1.3 and seems to be having trouble with 1.4.x as well. I don't want to just burden him with more work than necessary.)
Anyway, keep up the good work. Waiting for the fully compatible 1.4 version and love the auto installer. Brilliant idea!
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Having some Trouble with the Command-Block.
I've update to Minecraft 1.4.2 installed the SP-4.3DEV, created an new World in Creative (for Testing and creating) and added the Commandblock in the World (over the Type-Command give 137).
The Commandblock will be avtivaded with a Button or a Pressureplate.
When the Commandblock has the Command "Say Hello" oder "Say @p" i get the Message, but all other Commands, like tp, time set, gamemode 0 or 1 dosend work.
After deinstalling SP-4.3DEV the Command-Block with the Commands works correctly.
Ok, so i know that it says it was fixed, and it might just be b/c this is a dev version, but it was happening back in 1.3.2 anyway. Every time i use the brush command my game will crash. If i do anything above size 10 it will immediately crash and anything below that i can click 2-3 times and then it will crash. I'm not sure why it does it so any and all insight on this matter will be very helpful.
Sir, the command block isn't part of SPC and can be optained with vanilla Minecraft aswell (Enable cheats (/give)). About your problem, some commands don't work in the command block (/kick, /ban, /op, /deop, /stop) while others need coordinates to work.
Actually, the command block reads off of files dealing with commands and SPC edits these files which causes some of teh commands not to work in command block. I knwo how to use the command block but ti doesn't worth with dev version installed.
Okay, seriously. A bunch of you are getting mad at someone who's making a mod free of charge for being a little late? I could maybe understand if you were paying him to make this, but I highly doubt any of you complaining actually have donated anything to Simo.
Hey, here's an idea: sit back, chill. Maybe think of a different project that does not require mods to do? Making sprite art doesn't require mods, and it's pretty fun!
Just put Single Player Commands to the back of your minds for a while and let Simo get back from his holiday for one, and let him work at his own pace for two. The code change in 1.3.2 has not made this easy for him and all of you whining about this isn't helping either.
Everyone shouldn't bring up SPC being updated - the admins already warrned me and got into a message war about how me being curious about the update was ""pressuring and harrasment"" which is stupid.
BUT like some people are saying - SPC is free and the person updating it is probably either working hard or just abandoned ship. Don't complain over free things, and you can't ask when it'll be updated without being warrned/banned by admins so becareful with what you say!
I'm running Minecraft 1.4.2 with SPC 4.3_Dev. Mine's crashing after attempting to use a brush size of 5 or larger. Only other mod I have installed is OptiFine,

I know that the Command-Blpck isn't a Part of SPC and i used only Commands from Vanilla Minecraft like /tp x y z or /give xxx.
The Problem is that the Command-Block with the Vanilla-Commands will be only work, when start Minecraft without SP-4.3DEV.
By starting Minecraft with SP-4.3DEV only the Command say "Hello" or say "Hello" @p ect. will work, other Commands like /tp 134 16 -248 or /give @p 137 (to become the Command-Block) will not working.
At the Time my only Way to create a World is the following:
Start Minecraft with SP-4.3DEV
Create Buildings ect, set Commands-Block
Type the Vanilla Commands in the Command-Block
Save the World
Start Minecraft without SP-4.3DEV for testing the Command-Block
