I see this time and time again when ever a new update comes out, everyone has a fit "OMG UPDATE NOW!!!!! DO IT!!@! OMG I CANT PLAY WITHOUT YOUR AWESOME MOD"
Well, my suggestion is this: Since modders do this in their spare time, they're under NO obligation to make or update these mods. They do it for a variety of reasons. Some want to make money, some do it because they consider it art, some do it because they wanted the game to operate a certain way and decided to let other people experience that. Whatever their reason, people HOUNDING them that they MUST update ANYTHING is childish. If I were a modder (Believe me, I wish I was) the more people hounded me, the longer I would take to release an update to ANYTHING. I might even go as far as looking through my post, finding those that were truly encouraging, and PMing them a link to the update and make the rest suffer for a few days. But...That's me.
Bottom line, don't hassle the modders to update. 1.6 came out YESTERDAY. Most modders are just like you and me. They're students or have a full time job and do their mods when they can.
If you truly want to encourage a modder to update as fast and often as they can, and you can afford it, drop them a donation. Even if it's only a buck or two. It doesn't sound like much but if you get 100 People each donating one dollar, well that's $100. An extra $100 in my bank account sure would motivate me.
And before anyone asks, yes I donated. A few minutes ago in fact. :smile.gif: And it was more than a dollar. :wink.gif:
Keep it up Simo. We do truly love your mod. Looking forward to the update. :smile.gif:
thank you so much for the great mod!it has really helped me in my minecraft endeavors! thanks to you my minecraft water park is off to a great start! keep up the awesome work!
Hey man! I have been using this mod for like ever lol. Im glad you are behind this. Your work is awesome. Looking forward to the 1.6.4 compatibility. :biggrin.gif:
If you haven't updated to 1.6.4, type setspawn
If you have updated, you need to wait for the mod to be updated, then do setspawn.
thank you for your help i havent updated yet but i also didnt know how to do it cause my friend says you have to lay a bed down to change you spawn point
oh hey i loved you mod it helped me a lot, but i just wanna mention that whenever i tried to spawn a mob minecraft would completely freeze and I would have to go into task manager to close it. Also I had the mob spawner gui plug-in added in but whenever I tried to use it nothing would happen as if it wasn't installed. the other mods I had in were "TooManyItems" and zombe's mod pack. If anyone knows if those mods aren't compatible or something else itd be nice :smile.gif:.
Don't sweat man. Hey, if you know people are raging at you for an update that means they love your mod and want it as quick as they can to use it again.
But hey, take your time. Better it polished than buggy and glitchy.
As others has posted, this mod is probably the best one. Actually I've stopped playing Minecraft until this mod is updated because I just can't seem to build with inveditor.
The best mod, hope you find time in your life to code it :smile.gif:
Thanks for it :smile.gif:
(Wish I could figure out how to de-patch Minecraft)

why dont you just backup your minecraft.jar? all you need to do is place back into the bin folder and you got it depatched.. I could run 1.301 if i wanted to without problems..
@Oi Random
That's why it's smart to back up the old .jar before updating so you can put it back if you don't like the patch
Mind sending me your back up of 1.5? :tongue.gif: Would love it.
(Also the backup idea came to mind just when 1.6 came up. I have a fresh 1.6 jar and from now every update I'm keeping a fresh .jar of every one of them. Especially since 1.6 is so damn buggy and I can't even play Minecraft now.
but if you could upload your .jar to mega upload or media fire would help me so much)

I used when I accidentally patched to 1.5 before mods were updated and it worked fine.
Also, Simo and any other modders who might see this, you may want to link to this while you're updating your mods.
