it starts around 540mb but when it gets into the actual single player environment it jacks up to that.
I suspect its because my computer is ****. it is a school issued laptop and it has a few background services that are hidden and very resource intensive. (and yes ive tried to remove them ) but all hope shall be restored when i build my beast! /sigh
ohwell i hope you can help fix it
Ah ok, that sucks. I use minecraft on three different computers and they basically always start at no more the 150MB ram usage - depending on the map. I have run some basic tests on the commands to check resource utilisation but they don't appear to have an effect on anything, I am not really too sure what to do to fix this problem - or whether it is specific to the mod? If running minecraft unmodded for a period of 1-2hours (like mentioned) does the same problem occur?
Hey um,you wouldn't happen to be able to add a cuboid command would you? Because I think that would be VERY
useful,if you cant then you don't have to,its only a suggestion.

Can you give me instructions on how to install this mod? I'm having a pretty hard time getting it to work... Im running Windows xp SP3. I have winrar and everything needed, and I tried moving the .class files from the download into the Minecraft.jar file, its just giving me a black screen everytime I start minecraft.

Cuboid is a hMod plugin (http://forum.hey0.net/showthread.php?tid=34)
You use a wooden shovel to select 1-2 points and can copy the area, move it, delete it, fill with any block. build certain things with it. Its quite a fun plugin for online.

Basic Installation Instructions
1. Go to the minecraft bin directory and backup minecraft.jar
2. Using 7zip or equally capable ZIP viewer open minecraft.jar
3. Delete the META-INF folder
4. Copy the 3 class files contained within the mod to minecraft.jar, replacing the existing files.
5. Enjoy the mod.

Ooo... sounds complicated. If I get some time tonight I will have a look at that mod and see if it can be implemented without too many problems.
I look forward to a worldedit tool for this mod, if you choose to release one. I've been using it for a couple of hours now and I thoroughly enjoy it. Maybe you should look into some extra commands, expand the mod a bit. Add a /help command, that could help too. Also, you should maybe change /give to /item, or add it as a different version of the command - I feel as though Hmod has gotten me used to it and now I keep typing the wrong command in... Of course I can't speak for everyone.
P.S. a /listwaypoints command would be nice.
P.P.S. It says the post I'm quoting was posted on Dec. 9th, two days in the future...
wtf?

Lol, it is the 9th :wink.gif:
/listwaypoints I'll add in now, same with /help, I'll consider /item but /give sounds so much nicer in my head "give me some stone > give 1" lol.
When you say a 'worldedit' tool what exactly do you mean?
I'll release the update when 1.2.7 comes along so I don't have to release two separate ones.

Worldedit is an Hmod plugin similar to Cuboid, but much easier to use (in my opinion). Basically you type something like /wand and you get a wooden axe, which you then use to set a pos1 and a pos2. left clicking sets pos1 and right clicking sets pos2. Once you have those selected, it creates a rectangle out of that - or a cube depanding on where you placed them. Once you have that in place you can do any number of things, for instance typing //set 4 will change everything in the selection into Cobblestone. Of course there would be an //undo command or something.
OH YES!!! other than the fact that you have to look at the item IDs for spawning items, this is great. No more loosing my house when going sperlunking. No more trips to the title screen so I can open inv edit. I seriously love this mod.
hoping to see more development.

it is compatible with 1.2.6 (second post of the topic is for SSP.
Ok. Here is the bq.class that is compatible with Sunrises controller block mod - I will update the original post with this as well.
Note: You MUST have Sunrises controller block mod installed (specifically the Mod Loader) for this to work.
Download
Copy minecraft.jar, paste in different location..
